Being the good parents we are, when we bought our 2022 Escape 19, we gave our 2006 Casita to our youngest son and family. Since they live right below us in Astoria, Oregon and they both work and I'm retired, repairs on said Casita generally fall to me. The problem is the ignitor on the Dometic rm2454 three way refer keeps clicking even though the flame is lit and refer is cooling. I tried cleaning the ignitor and thermocouple and resetting electrical connections. I'm thinking the reigniter may be bad. Before I start chasing parts, has anybody had to deal with this problem?

I've not experienced that issue but I do have a RM2454 in my trailer. I believe the igniter is connected to the power board so possibly the board has gone bad. If that turns out to be the case, Dinosaur Electronics makes great replacement boards.

You'll have to trace the wire from the igniter to it's connection. If it goes into the black box, That's the power board. There are a lot of wires in that frig so make sure the igniter isn't contacting another wire, remove the black cover from the power board and check for excessive dust and other things. Blowing it of with canned air might also help, or not.

Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same problem. I originally did some cleaning and adjusting and the refrigerator works. The ignitor was not clicking constantly for about a day and fridge froze and cooled as expected and was "unclicking" the next morning but then that same day as it seemed to heat up outside I started to hear this clicking again.

Same model rm2454

ought I had it corrected when a video from a appliance repair man said that the problem is an incorrect placement of the ignitor. I tried a new ignitor and made sure it was situated in the flame. Seemed to work fine here in Astoria, but when camping in Forks, WA with the sun directly hitting the refrigerator side of the Casita, the ignitor started constantly sparking. i turned the refer off and let it cool down and restarted hit after a couple of hours and all was fine.Sounds exactly like yours. I'm thinking about the Dinosaur power module and the reignitor module, except the original reignitor module has been discontinued and I'm not sure about the proper replacement. Sorry I can't be of more help

I had the same problem with the igniter on my water heater. A new igniter fixed it and replaced the old one I broke trying to bend it.:facepalm:
