I'm really liking this one: Convenience Outlet - 2 Electric (Hardwire Version) Custom laminate inserts available... which may mean I could match the countertop and it would be nearly invisible in the down position... I think.

Those are cool, and would definitely be less prone to water and crumb hazards. I like that last one you listed too, Donna. It would not extend very far beneath the counter closed.

We charge our portable devices all the time in the trailer, but do not have any USB plugs. The 12V chargers that get used in the tow vehicle seem to work fine for us. But, if it was part of what you are installing anyway, it sure couldn't hurt. It could even eliminate the need for an extra 12V plug.

I found a couple of interesting fixtures. Popup from the counter, specifically designed for kitchens, laboratories, medical offices; any place liquids could spill. It's also $127. Ouch.

I really like that popup plug. Because we have had them in the last trailers , we asked about having a plug mounted under the upper cabinets and were told they could not do it , it wouldn't be to code . Have never seen " kitchen" counter flush mount - I might guess that to be against code somewhere . Just checked the length of my kitchen ( small ) appliances and find they are all actually thirty -six inches each , which makes me wonder if they are shorter south of the boarder .

My motorhome has downward-facing outlets under the upper cabinets above the kitchen counter. They are the only outlets close to countertop, and they generally work well, but

• items such as power adapters may fall out (not a problem with cords)
• the one in the higher cabinet (I have one in the regular upper cabinet and one in the lower microwave / range hood cabinet) is too far for the shortest appliance cord

I don't know the maximum cord length, and I do understand the desire to avoid excessive cord length, but some of these cords are stupidly short - they are non-functional, causing appliances to be used in marginally safe positions or with extension cords. I have considered replacing the ridiculous 21" one (coming out the side to make it even worse) on our countertop convection/toaster oven with something of a more suitable length (and appropriate type of course).

This brings up something I've not thought about (surprise, surprise), Escape lists the 19 as having five interior 110 volt plugs. I wonder where the default locations are?

Mine are under the dinette on the passenger side, on the side of the counter near the door exit, almost down to floor level below the refrigerator, facing the bed near the stove separator and behind the microwave if you have one. I also have an outside receptacle near the access door that opens to storage under the bed.
