They’re calling the initial iteration of the E23 the “First Edition.” Interior décor customization is available, but the options are set. From ETI’s website (you might want to peruse it for yourself ) :

Nicely equipped. The only issue I see is the Victron Multiplus 3000 requires more continuous capacity if the Lithium Batteries are 100 amp bms, I have two batteries and 2000 VA version. The 3000 va (2400 watts) needs at least three (according to current connected). Other than that it looks like a nice trailer.

That's quite a list of options that are not included in the Bigfoot's base price. There are Bigfoots out there over $100,000 because they have similar added options.

Right this is what it looks like to me, a fancy electrical system upgrade, the rest of the options below look pretty run of the mill - the Houghton ($1.2k?), back up camera $200), a fridge and such.

OK without individually pricing out each component, here’s what looks like a Victron 3k kit for about $3k. The batteries are about another $2k, add in another $1k for touchscreen and whatnot gives about $5k system, round up by another couple thousand if you like. Back of the envelope, not saying this is a perfect comparison.

Anyhow maybe they’ll come out with the standard edition in the low 50’s.

Really? They may not be worth that much to you, but for many here they are. We added over $6,000 in extras to our 5.0 after the initial purchase and that's not counting my labor costs. There are others here who have added much more

Yes, it is a "fancy electrical system upgrade." If they were "run of the mill" they wouldn't be options. Many of us camp without services, so what you consider "fancy" is run of the mill for us.

And don't forget install of the items. AM Solar wanted $2,727 for three 200 watt panels, a Victron 100/30 solar controller and a Victron BMV-712 shunt plus other needed parts, BUT they also wanted $2,030 for installing those items.

This electrical system is WAY beyond what I priced out with AM Solar. I had similar pricing from a solar installer in 2021 when I added three 100 watt panels to the roof of our 5.0. Unless you've already installed solar and other electricals in a camper you may think that price is too high, but it's what the market demands for an installer to remain in business.

Aren’t the acrylic windows double pane? All the ones I’ve researched are.

You’re only on here to put down Escapes, either you get some form of compensation-or maybe you could actually go buy something. You never know, actually owning and taking trips in an RV might help you, in more ways than you could imagine.

I didn't notice the acrylic windows. Anyone have any experience with acrylic windows in an RV? In the non-RV applications I've seen, acrylic windows scratch very easily, and often have issues with yellowing. Maybe the RV ones are better?

We had them on our previous trailer and they were nice. The only drawback was having to open the window and then close the screen or open screen and close window. We would go in at night and close up before turning on a light. Then we would turn on the bath light to attract bugs. That rounded them up before going to bed. Most places aren’t that buggy, but some really required this process. The windows let in lots of air even in the rain. They held up fine for trips of 12 weeks. The floor design was failing, I thought I was going to have to pick it up and stiffen it, but a storm destroyed the trailer, and many others’ also. So we finally bought the Escape.

Acrylic windows have been used on European RVs for a long time. They are now appearing on most big name US manufacturers. Non UV treated acrylic can yellow.

For anyone under the impression that the E23 First Edition is over priced, try pricing a new 21C.

I did and for comparable options for our ‘22 that cost $50,000 less than 2 years ago, the price came out at $62,400.

Anybody know where the black tank is on the new E23? As in above, or below, the floor level.

Appears they are using the same elevated toilet base / shower shell / low rise toilet as the other models. Looks as if it may be "above floor", as all other Escapes, and runs back under the cabinets toward the fridge, but with a 40 gal. (U.S.) capacity, I'm thinking maybe not as the wheel wells appear to be in that general area.

I was hoping black and gray tanks were going to be "under" the floor, but the toilet setup threw me a curve for the black.

Same question for gray and fresh if you know..........

Well, the black tank on the 21C is under the bed. ETI told me that the entire under bed area for the queen bed is available for storage, so It sounds like it is somewhere else.

What’s the advantage of acrylic? If they offered double paned I’d go for it.

I’m pretty sure he says “the advantage with this new chassis is we can go four season without having to use spray foam underneath”. I would guess that means they can build in insulation into the chassis cross frames which is pretty cool, I’m not fond of spray foam.

You sure? I see double glazed but not double paned on the 23, 21 and 19. But they’re pretty flexible maybe they’d do it, prob not though as they’d want some design test with that kind of change probably

Oh duh, I guess double glazed is another way of saying double paned? But the frameless are surely single paned? /cornfused
