Escape 23 - Process Update

Different band same name, we played Western Swing and old jazz tunes from the mid 70’s to the late 80’s in NE Ohio.

Too funny! But it happens. Back in the '80s there was a local (Boston area) bluegrass band called Stoney Lonesome. There was also a Minneapolis band named Stoney Lonesome, fronted by a fine singer named Kate McKenzie. The Boston Bluegrass Union brought in the Minneapolis band, and had the local Stoney Lonesome on the bill. We had fun promoting "Stoney Lonesome opening for Stoney Lonesome."

Well, now back to your regularly scheduled trailer talk. . .

I'm With Her described themselves as "Bluegrass Adjacent"

Speaking of awesome shows, a few weeks ago we saw "American Acoustic" featuring the Punch Brothers, Watchouse (formerly Mandolin Orange), and Sarah Jarosz at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga , freekin' awesome show. NOT bluegrass, just adjacent :)

and Tuesday, we saw Robert Plant with Allison Krauss in Napa. another awesome show. Definitely NOT bluegrass (even though Allison has plenty of BG credentials, with her Union Station ).

Karl did say at one point that the prototypes would be sold

Minor point but in the last update he said that the prototype he was standing in would not be sold. Maybe it’s going in the showroom. At least in the US there are specific tax rules around prototypes and how the costs materials and results are handled, in my work that’s handled by another team but my impression is there are tax advantages to scrapping prototypes but there are strict rules for what happens to them.

Tweaks are made all the time to small scale production lines, better to wait if you can. I wonder why kind of testing they do? Escape isn’t GM or Ford …
