Love the rear door models, E23/F5 would be my vote. Separate sleeping area with the rear door is a plus, very similar to a lot of Airstream models.

Couple of things I noticed. It looks like none of the plans have any more kitchen counter space than a 19. The dry bathroom takes up a huge amount of space and yet virtually everyone on the forum says, "I never use the shower" (we use ours every day). All but one of the queens is a short which is a pain to get sheets for and when you find them they seem to be twice the price. We changed the short queen in our 5.0 SA for a full (54x75) and like the extra room on the sides plus getting sheets is way easier.

I do like the Murphy bed idea as it opens up the trailer and makes it a lot more spacious, plus you get a nice lounging area for those rainy days which is missing from all Escape models. One has to wonder though with practically all the storage over and behind the wheels would the trailer end up being back heavy and tongue light.

For us, I prefer layout 5 or 6. Rear entry with bedroom at the front, separate and out of site from the door. If my wife wants to lay down in the afternoon, I can still go in and out without disturbing her. I do like the separate beds. I sleep with one pillow and one blanket, my wife likes 3 pillows and 3 blankets. I like my space, separate twins would be sweet.

Would I buy a E23? I prefer a trailer that is light, aerodynamic, not to long, fits in 2 parking spaces at the Walmart and fits on the smaller sites in National Parks. Also, having camped all over Ontario, our destinations are further and further away so I need something reasonable on gas. Key West and California are on the list. Anything bigger than anE19 or E5.0TA and I wouldn’t be interested. Anything bigger, I would want a Cummins.

We have a E19 sitting at the factory ready for pickup. It was a toss up between a E19, and E5.0TA or a 26’ Class A. Escape won out, all other trailer manufacturers build junk, I don’t even like Airstream. Background, we have 2 teen boys, they often sleep in a tent or sometimes sleep in the truck bed. They like they’re space too.

I mentioned this exact thing in the sneak peak thread. Escape engineers will need to be very careful with axle and tank placement especially with the rear door designs which will push the axles forward.

My vote is to get rid of the dry bath. And put more counter space in. We are more than happy with our wet bath. Dry bath not needed in my opinion, takes up a lot of space that could be dedicated to something else more useful.

on edit or are you saying get rid of the shower and convert to a closet? That may work as we have never showered in our Escape but would not give up the toilet.

A little upset!

I just spent over an hour writing a critique of the 1st full queen front door. One for Nice To Have, another for Important, and also one for Critical. When I submitted the Critical, it updated my other two and I lost everything I wrote. I tried to go back, but it just shows my Critical and an area at the bottom that's blank for either Nice to Have or Important. Apparently you can only choose one at a time? The Nice to Have was short, but the Important was quite long. Perhaps tomorrow I'll feel like recreating the Important, but for now I'm frustrated at the loss of my time.

I looked really hard at it, believe me Jon. But downside is all the storage is lost as there's no more 'under bed' storage. Almost turns the trailer into a weekender. Sigh.

Yes, I would rather have more counter space over a separate bath shower. I prefer the wet bath currently in the Escapes. That being said, I always shower at the bath house.
