F23F6 ticks every box we have on our wish list beyond the 21. Twin beds, dry bath, separate room. Looks pretty perfect if you ask me. Cant wait for production to begin.

Kitchen area

The 23 layouts are well conceived except for the kitchen areas. We do a lot of cooking in our 21 with an oven but the 23 only has, at best, the same counter space as the 19. We would accept another wet bathroom if that could improve the kitchen area. We used the shower often in our 5 months a year of mostly dry camping and found the wet bath satisfactory. We entertain and efficient cooking space is a priority.

If I was going to comment those would be my comments exactly.

For those of us who do prepare lot's of food in the trailer not getting any more kitchen space when going larger is a no go.

Also it looks to me like the price of the dry bath is two very small spaces. I was looking at a small 19' Class C the other day, to rent for a friend, and I was stunned by the roominess of the wet bath. Every boat and trailer that I've ever owned has had a wet bath. Most had a curtain that keep the toilet dry. I would never go bigger unless the important items also were proportionally larger.

The great thing about the 23 shell and all the plans they have so far is that there is plenty of room to switch things up in the future. Like having a wet and a dry bath model.

Our last trailer had a dry bath and took up a lot of space. I put a removable bar in the shower so we could at least use it to hang coats.

I agree with this, I do not want a separate shower especially if I am losing kitchen counter space. I would not want the separate shower in any case. I love the bed choices that the 23 would give you , but to go from a 21 to a 23 it would have to be perfect, queen beds or bunks, large dinette , bathroom the size in the 21 or bigger and counter space in the kitchen with the same amount of storage if not more then the 21. After 3 years I still love our trailer, we were suppose to leave yesterday for a month but have now moved it to the end of June.

Using Escape's listed counter depth of 22" on their existing trailers, and using the countertop areas listed on the E23 portal, here is what the equivalent counter lengths would work out to be for the different plans:

F1, F2 and F3 = 9.47 ft^2, which is equivalent to 62" x 22"
F4 = 9.17ft^2, which is equivalent to 60" x 22"
F5 = 9.97ft^2, which is equivalent to 65-1/4" x 22"
F6 = 9.98ft^2, which is equivalent to 64-5/8" x 22"

For comparison, the 21C = 65" x 22", 5.0TA = 56" x 22, E19 = 48" x 22".

Those are what are listed, you can correct me if I am wrong.

This seems correct Jim but as they say the devil is I the details. The arrangement of this space just does not seem as useful as the 21 from what I see in the diagrams. However, maybe seeing them actually constructed I would see that this is not the case.

It does point out how much practical space you can lose by adding a dry bath.

I had a dry bath set up in one of my Lance trailers, the nice thing is you have a sink and toilet accessibility and a shower that can be used for storage when not in use. If you stay at a cg and use their shower, your shower can be use like a temporary closet for wet mats or other large items, even your bar-b-que on the floor for in transit. That shower stall space is pretty handy.

The dry baths really work out in the Bigfoot 21 & 25, but they are wider/longer trailers at 8’ 4” vs 7’ 4” (21) and 7’ 11” (23).
One of my portal comments was to offer wet bath options not losing so much space to a dry bath, and people could have option to go with either bath type. Won’t know until we see actual prototypes, but with the smaller footprint of the Escape, I’d prefer wet bath option and more space to other areas. The dry baths may just make the trailer seem a bit tight.

I think all counter space is useful, but agree that some space is more useful than other. I also don't like the L shaped kitchens as much, but I have found that the corner area can be used for putting often used prep items. If I keep an area about 18" x 18" clear, I can do pretty well. I think the F6 floor plan has the best of the L kitchens.

BTW, at the live stream Q&A today, Karl said that the E23 will have a rear door plan. He said he is trying to find a way to include a forward door option, too, but that it may not be feasible to do both.
