Escape 23

Mark,
If you want to see an Escape closer than BC, there are several owners in Pennsylvania. Contact the factory for their info.

Do we know which floorplan(s?) Escape is currently going to build? Or are they still assessing the possibilities?

there still working on a way to offer it with both door options , this becomes a problem with the mold. I would expect at least two floor plans. Time will tell

I personally would dislike a second door into the sleeping area. I can't see why they would want that.

I think NEWYORKHILLBILLY was referring to Karl Kenny's wish to be able to have a front entrance floor plan and a rear entrance floor plan, not a double entry floor plan. Karl said they would be doing a rear entry floor plan for sure, and that he would like to find a way to offer a front entry option, too.

Thanks for that. That makes a bit more sense, though the rear door allows for the better layouts in my opinion.

Been looking for the perfect layout for us for a couple years. Couldn't find anything that checked off all the things we wanted. Most trailers aren't made for a couple. If they are, then they don't have a bathroom, or have cramped beds, or etc., etc. The E23 F4 layout is the best that we have seen. Can't wait to see the final layouts, cost, options, etc. Could be the perfect one for us.

We're going to be in the market for a 23. We just outgrew our Casita having 2 boys and a huge dog. Dry bath and walk around queen bed are awesome features. Very interested in the Murphy bed if it's comfortable and functional, otherwise the standard queen will work. So layout 3 or 1 for us.

I like the F6 twin beds, and all kidding aside, I wish the space in between could be filled in as bed for the times my wife and I do more then sleep. F1 is good too. I’m 6’3” so the 6’5” hieght is very nice for me and that alone may make me go with the 23 over the 19. Need to see price. I tow with a GMC Sierra 1/2 ton with about 10,000 towing capacity so shouldn’t be a problem.

The ETI YouTube channel livestream on Jul 14th said they have settled on the "door behind the wheels" options which is F4, F5, and F6. If you want to watch the video, they talk about the new E23 starting about the 9:43 mark of the video. We are waiting anxiously for final floor plans, specs, price, etc. We think this will be the one for us. Fingers crossed.

My guess is that they will offer two layouts: Walk around queen or twin (F4 or F6). I feel a case of two-foot-itis coming on.

F6 appears similar to an Airstream 25FB twin.

The 23 is listed having a dry weight of 3800 pounds, only 600 pounds more then the 19, this surprises me, I hope it is correct

That sounds like 21's weight. I can't believe they have a weight for the 23 yet.

I’m figuring both weights are before options, I just need patience and look at the 23 when it’s more complete. If the 19 was 6’5” interior I probably wouldn’t be so interested in the 23 and maybe production of the 23 will stimulate more used 19 going up for sale. I don’t want to get away from the compact easy towing feature of Escapes... This Escape Forum has literally made the decision to purchase a trailer a reality for my wife and I and I am grateful for your expert help.
