I have just placed a deposit on a preowned 21C offered by Escape Trailers. Very excited!

Welcome to the forum.

You'll find a lot of things that you're already familiar with from your Casita but there's also lot's of information here specific to the 21C, the best model IMHO :), including lots of mods.

Start making those memories.

Yay! Congratulations! This forum is invaluable and will be your go to source for Escape info. Any thoughts on what your first mods will be?

Not really yet! I think I will first just get familiar with it and then start thinking about mods. I won't get it for at least a month, which is fine...that gives me time to sell my Casita!

Congratulation's that was what we did moved up from a Casita to an Escape and couldn't be happier.

That's my hope! I love my Casita, but just need more space! Will be in Arizona for KC Royals spring training in Feb/March!!!!

Welcome to our little corner of The Hundred Acre Wood. As others have noted, you'll find tons of info here & many knowledgeable folks happy to share what they know. This community has been invaluable to me during my first foray into trailer ownership.

Wishing you many happy adventures in your Escape!

Unless I am missing something, technically the 'Inventory' trailers are new, not Pre-Owned, just show-room units or from cancelled orders, and available at the factory.

The Pre-Owned units are offered by existing customers and are at those customers' locations. ETI just offers sellers a free ad on their website.

The new website format does not make this as clear as the old one did.

Actually, the unit I purchased is at the ETI facility. It is going thru a preowned certification process, and they are adding some requested customizations to it, i.e. A/C, counter extensions, etc. This is something that they are beginning to do. They will be shipping it to me in about 4-5 weeks. They have been very helpful and informative.

Interesting. Was it actually owned and used by another customer?

Yes. The previous owner bought the 2018 21C new and decided he wanted a new model. Escape took this one in and placed it in its inventory and listed it as a 'certified pre-owned'. If you go to the Escape website, you will see it listed among their other inventory and tagged 'Sold'.

Shows that ETI is a maturing industry and still evolving. Adds yet another path to ownership with the ability to do further customization. :thumb:

Yes! So far, it has been a positive experience. Will be nailing down customizing details w/ rep here in a few days.

I love the option to get one "certified-used". This is very new, and great news for current and future owners. I don't spend much time at RV sales lots, but I've never seen a "certified-used" travel trailer anywhere.

Years ago we used to get "certified used" cars and felt that was a much better deal than buying new, and we were willing to pay a bit more for the fact that the car had been gone over, repaired as needed, and had a warranty and was also eligible for an extended warranty from the manufacturer (at additional cost).

So for Escape, this is just awesome for everyone involved. Congratulations on your new trailer, you will enjoy it a lot.

One question - You sure you don't want to drive up and back to Canada in December?? :)

I'm pretty certain I don't want to drive up and back to Canada! I'm looking forward to the delivery to my front door! I was even able to take advantage of their Fall promotion for 'free shipping'! So I'm feeling pretty good about ETI so far! Now I just need to get my Casita sold! It's a good one!!!

You shouldn't have a problem; they are pretty popular. We got more than we paid for ours, even counting inflation. 'Course that was in December 2021, when the market was tight. Our used Escape was not cheap, either.
