I have just placed a deposit on a preowned 21C offered by Escape Trailers. Very excited!
Actually, the unit I purchased is at the ETI facility. It is going thru a preowned certification process, and they are adding some requested customizations to it, i.e. A/C, counter extensions, etc. This is something that they are beginning to do. They will be shipping it to me in about 4-5 weeks. They have been very helpful and informative.Unless I am missing something, technically the 'Inventory' trailers are new, not Pre-Owned, just show-room units or from cancelled orders, and available at the factory.
The Pre-Owned units are offered by existing customers and are at those customers' locations. ETI just offers sellers a free ad on their website.
The new website format does not make this as clear as the old one did.

I'm pretty certain I don't want to drive up and back to Canada! I'm looking forward to the delivery to my front door! I was even able to take advantage of their Fall promotion for 'free shipping'! So I'm feeling pretty good about ETI so far! Now I just need to get my Casita sold! It's a good one!!!I love the option to get one "certified-used". This is very new, and great news for current and future owners. I don't spend much time at RV sales lots, but I've never seen a "certified-used" travel trailer anywhere.
Years ago we used to get "certified used" cars and felt that was a much better deal than buying new, and we were willing to pay a bit more for the fact that the car had been gone over, repaired as needed, and had a warranty and was also eligible for an extended warranty from the manufacturer (at additional cost).
So for Escape, this is just awesome for everyone involved. Congratulations on your new trailer, you will enjoy it a lot.
One question - You sure you don't want to drive up and back to Canada in December??
