Escape rally 2024 - Osoyoos

The dates will be May 23rd Thursday through to May 26th Sunday. For now, please just save the dates in your calendar. We will reach out with further details on how to book and what to bring soon. - Escape Trailer Industries

And yes, again ".... at the beautiful Nk'Mip RV Park in Osoyoos, BC ...." - Escape Trailer Industries

I wonder how the campground views look after that fire. How close did it come, anybody know?

Jim I got an email from Escape a couple of days ago saying the 2024 rally is May 23-26. I called Nik Mip and they are already taking reservations so I went ahead and booked our site. Much closer to the action this time

This sounds like a lot of fun. We're interested in attending, but we need to first make certain there are no scheduling conflicts.

For someone that has not attended an Escape rally, where in the campground is "closer to the action"?

thanks

There's a few different ways of looking at that.

For some it's being at a lakeside campsite.

Other's, including some forum regulars, like to be nearer the clubhouse as several events happen there and it's an easy walk.

thanks Ron. Look forward to meeting you!

Yes, always nice to be able to put a name to a face. Even a "real" name and not a handle. :)

There are two clubhouses. The largest one is the primary one but the smaller second one is also used for overflow because of the number of folks coming for the dinners.

For those not familiar with the campground two things. One, the scale may not give you a sense of distance. While lakefront is nice those at the furthest sites will find it a long walk to the clubhouse. Doesn't matter if you're not interested is several events but I find myself drifting over there several times a day.

Two, the map doesn't indicate topography very well. The yellow sites are much lower down than the sites above and they're also the location of semi-permanent residents. It's my least desired location.

Ron

I should clarify my previous comment. The yellow sites that I'm referring to are the ones between the office and the store. Some of the other yellow sites are quite desirable.

These might help with the discussion

Well, you snooze you lose as I've discovered a few times.

I don't normally book things in advance but we did covet one particular campsite this year and I just booked it. :) Rumors that in that area there's an aroma of fine Scotch still lingering in the air and fading strains of guitar strumming.

And we’re booked! Just need a trailer now, haha.

Looking forward to putting some faces to names.
