Escape rally 2025

We are booked and in site 262 - excited to be coming to our first rally and excited to be on the lake!

Strangely enough I can picture you there sitting by your new pride and joy. :) You were on the North side of the main area in a nicely shaded spot, I think.

One nice thing about the campground is that some of the main area that didn't have much vegetation in 2015 has much more now. More shade and privacy.

Ron
Hey Ron! I actually found an old map from 2015 and through counting was able to figure out what site I most likely had. I remember the park was enlarged the next year or two and that's why the map was throwing me off. D'oh. I'll make reservations later today. :thumb:

I was planning on making my reservations today but then I had this lingering feeling that I should look at the calendar again. Turns out that I'll still be cruising some of my old haunts in the Med. Well, maybe not quite  some of the places are pretty good to go back to.

I think that 2025 Alaska is going to add a tremendous amount of buzz to the rally. Sorry that I'm going to miss it.

I'm reserved! YAY, Site 58. Since I'm there Thursday until leaving for Alaska Monday morning the 26th, I hope you're right Ron. Sorry you'll miss it too!

We placed our deposit last wee for a 21NE so we have not received the email about the Rally in Osoyoos, could someone please share the details of the Rally in Osoyoos? I'd like to book a site, is there any advantage to calling to book a site versus booking online?

Escape hasn't posted anything yet. So no details, but they're coming. I checked the Escape Trailer website and everything other than pictures, has been taken down from years past. Here's a screen shot of the email I got. I phoned the campground. It was easy.

ETI will provide lot's of details of events and times well before the rally, including letting them know what site you're in.

As far as sites go it's up to you. Some like being on the water, some by the dog park and others closer to the main clubhouse where a lot of events are held.

I'd say if you find a site online that you're happy with, book it. If not a phone call might allow you to ask for a site or area that might not show up online for one reason or another. They do try and give you the site or area that you're requesting.

Something those of us that haven't ever been to Osoyoos or in my case the last time was years ago, tell us about grocery shopping. Do you have any suggestions? In 2015 I remember two grocery stores and IMHO they were both kinda awful. I'm a fresh food eater and I won't be bringing any over the border. I plan on doing 4-5 days worth of grocery shopping when I get there. Help!

Hi Donna,

I think that you'll do better this time.

Our main go-to is Save-on-foods. You can go to their website and check out their inventory of produce etc.

They're also our regular grocery store at home and their produce is usually pretty good.

This is good to know. Linda and I are in the same boat as Donna. We carry no processed foods and rely on grocery stores with fresh food during our travels. Thanks for asking that, Donna.

Thanks Ron, that's helpful. I'll certainly check it out carefully. I know there are a number of stores in Penticton BC, which is 40 miles north. I MAY be stopping and shopping there at the beginning of the trip to Alaska on May 26.
Safeway
Save-On-Foods
IGA
Real Canadian Superstore
Nature's Fare Markets
Penticton Global Grocers
Walmart Supercentre

Bonus about Save-On-Foods for those not from the area or those who haven't signed up for their card - you can let the cashier know you would like to use the visitor card - so you can get the discounts that are shown on the labels when shopping

I booked site 213 last week, remember that area from 2023 and it was close enough to the water and the clubhouse. It was the last site available in that particular area. It will be nice to get to the rally again.
