I love to stop for a night just south of you for a soak in Lava Hot Springs. By far my favourite hot spring. Their hot pool is very hot, nice! A nice KOA campground there too.

I think that it's going to be a rally with a little extra buzz given that a lot of attendees may be first timers hooking up with the Alaska 2025 folks.

I was chatting with Samuel today and was surprised to hear that the rally is fully booked. I've booked spots much later than this, sometimes only a month or so out.

Sorry that I can't make it next year but I've never learned how to be in two places at once.

Hi Mike, I believe the "fully booked" means the number of sites that ETI has reserved for the rally. ETI does have quite a bit of experience putting on the rally and I think that the number of folks is limited by their desire to provide a great time for everyone and knowing that there is a finite capacity to how many people that can be accommodated at the meals and events.

There may well be some space at the campground, or some open up but they may not be included in the ETI dinners etc. There's nothing to stop others from camping elsewhere and making the rounds seeing various folks and events.

There's two aspects to that. The first is when the Rally dates are announced which was quite awhile ago. That's when people should get a reservation.

The second is ETI reminding folks that have reserved a site and will be attending the Rally to let them know the campsite # and names of attendees so that they can have name tags and packages ready upon arrival. There's no need for them to be doing that a long way in advance of the Rally.

FWIW, I got an email a couple of days ago asking me to confirm my confirmation number otherwise I would lose my spot. Okay... so I confirmed my confirmation number but never got a confirmation that my confirmation was confirmed.

Greetings all, This will be our first rally. We are booked and looking forward to meeting everyone. We are traveling from MN and plan on spending a couple of weeks in the area . Our grandson will be traveling with us and he is very excited as is expected. My wife and I are looking forward to dark sky's and star's we can see without the light pollution. We would love any suggestions as to other areas to explore.

The heart of the Okanagan valley is a premier outdoor destination in BC. Not sure what activities you enjoy but our favourites are trail rides with our bikes , kayaking in the many lakes, and of course hiking. Tourism BC has a good website to get you started.

I know of none there. One of the problems with poutine is that some many places just put something together that is just not as good as it should be. Heck, all the fast food places around here have tried it for a while.

I love a good poutine which uses good well fried potatoes, quality curds and gravy too. I have had it with oxtail and pulled pork which can be very yummy.

If someone posts a good poutine in Osoyoos, I might have to try it out.

It's you being late. It was booked up the first part of December. I don't know if there's a wait list, but you can bet there will be people who need to cancel, there always is. Perhaps contact ETI and let them know you're interested in any cancellation that comes through.

Yes, ETI was saying that it was booked up quite awhile ago. But I'm not sure if there's two entities. One is ETI who knows how many folks they can accommodate and sets a limit and then the campground which I have to think probably has some spaces available. It might mean that if you're not registered with ETI because their limit has been reached you can still be there, just miss out on the dinners but could still attend everything else.

Don't know, maybe someone can clarify.
