Escape sighting...does this count? :-)

Was watching some youtube videos while planning next year's trips and came across this...appears to be an Escape 17 camped at Caprock Canyons State Park in TX. Skip ahead to around the 19:05 mark...

Looks like a great park for hiking...as long as a buffalo doesn't harass me!

Been there. I didn't see the Escape in the video though I did see a Casita. Caprock Canyons is a hidden gem with lots of room between sites, hot showers and, as you said, tons of hiking. Home to one of the largest herds of free range bison. They are everywhere. Not unusual to see them in the campgrounds and near the showers and restrooms. Highly recommend.

If you like biking there’s a nice old railway trail to Clarity tunnel. About a 5 mile ride one way. It’s north of the town about 5 miles

Yes, my wife and I have ebikes. That tunnel looks fantastic! (though my wife would probably find it a bit spooky.... ). Will definitely make a note to bring the bikes (along with some astro gear...looking forward to the dark skies).

We just rode to the tunnel. It’s paved with bat guano . We could hear them while walking to the other end. It is a nice ride. The trail is part of the Caprock Canyon Trailway.
