I have a deposit on a 21C taking delivery in June 24 to coincide with my retirement date. Not long ago I got an email from ETI offering to pull my completion date up to the end of 2023. They offered a "gift" if I would do it. The gift could be chosen from a list of substantial gifts such as a backup camera. I chose not to accept because I scheduled the build of my trailer to coincide with my retirement when I will have time to pick it up.

Yesterday I got a call from ETI making the same offer. It is making me a bit nervous combined with Karl's leaving with no explanation. Is ETI doing okay or are they finding a lot of extra time on their hands with slowing sales. Is it getting hard to meet payroll?

When I put down my deposit completion dates were 18 months out. Now about 3 months? Does anyone know what is going on? I have been reading here about QC problems -- I am considering jumping ship and considering an Oliver (for almost 50% more but with excellent reviews on quality.)

The Escape we are considering is about $65,000 with the options we want, and I expect that price to go up (with other RV's) in the new year. It is a chunk of money, so I am worried.

Are Escape hay days getting hailed out?

They want to get all the orders done before they close shop and move south in the spring.
Just kidding…:ermm:

I read an article last month that said RV shipments were down 50% year over year, so the whole industry is in a major slump. Based on the layoff at ETI I read about recently plus ETI's current delivery quotes on their website (Oct 2023 for all models) they are in the same sales slump. It wasn't too long ago, just a few months back, that the 5.0 still had a reasonably long delivery lead time when all of the other trailers were showing only 4 - 5 months. Even that wait list for the 5.0 has now collapsed. I wouldn't worry too much about them trying to get you to move your trailer up. They're just trying to fill production slots and generate sales in this calendar year if possible.

You do know that you could probably ask for more free options and very likely get them in this slow sales environment. If ETI really wants to build your trailer early, I'd ask for a free storage box and a few other things. If they say no then tell them that you'll pass and keep your trailer delivery where it benefits you the most. They cannot have their cake and eat it too, they had their time to force things on the customer the past few years, its now a buyers market.

I was called last month ( July )to see if I would be willing to have our 21ne pushed out a week. I had no problem with it as the timing worked out better for me. Since that call my 21ne went into production on July 27th and I received my first set of pictures yesterday. (Aug 4 2023) Soooo... everything seems to be on track.

I had a question and contacted them yesterday, Samuel answered the phone, so I know he is still there.

From everything I read here currently the Escape trailers are in demand and used ones sell off fast and at great prices.

As Chamberman said It's a buyers market these days......

I find them to be a great investment, can't do that with a sticky....

Cheers......and Happy Trails to ya.....:eggrv:

They still seem to be holding their value on the used market ..and continue to sell quickly
