Morning. We pick up our new 5.0 Wednesday. Just wondering if (I know I will find out soon enough) anyone has a picture of their F150 with the 6.5’ box and Anderson rail mount hitch, that is sporting a hard tri-fold tonneau cover. Our folded hard tri-fold cover laying flat at the front is slightly ahead of the Anderson rail hitch ball (ball positioned closest to the tailgate). As we don’t have the 5.0 yet, just wondering how much room is needed for the pin box to clear the folded cover? Plan on mounting the funnel of the coupler block to the rear of the trailer kingpin. Hoping I don’t have to run the 5.0 home (only a few hours) with the tonneau cover locked in the folded up position behind the cab. Thanks.

Based on measurement of my 5.0 with rear-oriented Andersen coupler, perhaps this gives you what you need, for any truck / bed:

This is an Extang solid fold cover. 6.5’ bed. Hope this helps.

I couldn’t remember what model of Xceed tri-fold I had so just looked. It is also an Extang, so fingers crossed :)

Out of interest, did you ever have any issues with your tonneau cover top fabric? My first one started pulling away from the sides, but Xceed sent me a brand new one (apparently the glue issue was resolved), as a replacement, which was amazing.

Where did you end up attaching your release cable/handle?

Thank you for those pics.

Mine is the solid fold 2.0 (?). There’s no fabric. The top is a solid material. I’ve had it on two trucks over the last 11 years and it’s held up well. There are spring loaded clamps that hook under the bed rails to hold it in place.

Copy, mine is the Xtang Xceed, so different model, sorry. Mine folded, seems to be a bit closer to the hitch than yours, drats.

Would you feel comfortable with your tri-fold in the up against the cab, locked position when pulling your 5.0? Wondering if I should just take it right off for now... Thanks.

Mine doesn’t have that option. There are two screw-type clamps in the front that hook under the bed rail and the spring loaded in the back. It folds over twice (so three sections on top of each other) at the front and lays flat. The requirement at the time of purchase was that I could take it off with no railing or hardware left on the truck.
