Hello all new guy here. My wife and I are currently Lance truck camper owners seriously considering a 5.0. We are currently camping in the North Cascades and are going to make a detour to the Escape factory to check one out. We would like to spend a couple of nights near the factory and is looking for some campground recommendations. We would like to avoid RV resorts / parks. Something with a natural setting. Thanks.

We really enjoyed the Cultus Lake Provincial Park campground when we picked up our 5.0TA in 2015. That was mid-week in May so we basically had the campground to ourselves.

It's just south of Chilliwack.

If you want to follow-up the idea of Cultus Lake:

I've stayed in Delta Grove, and here are some notes:
-No hookups
-there is a single dump for your tanks at the Maple Bay site, $5 to unlock the dump-lid
-Chilliwach and Escape are not too distant
-Escape showroom has had a 5.0 in there for several years; I last saw it a couple of months ago

Cultus Lake is within a stone's-throw of 3million people (Greater Vancouver) and is filled in the the summertime. You can search and check (cancellations do happen; single-nights are more-likely); select "Cultus Lake" in the first drop-down:

Good luck!

I stayed in the Delta Grove campground at Cultus Lake this past Spring. It is a popular destination for new owners immediately after they take delivery. There might be more Escape trailers present than in the showroom.

Be sure to book early. There were not too many open sites available when I visited during the mid-week in early May.

Thanks. Most everything is booked or they want a minimum 3 night stay because of the holiday. We settled on a Good Sam campground 20 mins away.

That's probably the best choice. The unfortunate thing about the parks and campgrounds within easy driving distance of Vancouver, especially on holiday weekends etc., is that they become filled by folks more in party hearty mode than camping mode.
