[FONT="]I’m sharing this as I think our experience could help other prospective Escape owners with kids. We have three kids - 8, 6 and 2. We recently bought an E21C. We had a Casita when we had two kids, but that was promptly sold when we found out about the third. We spent the last couple summers without owning a camper, but borrowed my brothers Scamp 16 layout 4 a couple times last year (all five sleeping in the Scamp). It gave us the bug for another molded fiberglass trailer, but the fiberglass market is pretty slim for a family of five. We love the 21C layout, especially the side bed/front bath/counter space, but it's disappointing Escape hasn't been able to integrate a 5th bed with a cot or something similar. [/FONT]
[FONT="]Anyway, we found a used 21C via this forum and have all three kids sleeping on the back table/bed (picture attached). We've enjoyed some sunny weekends as well as rain and think it has more than enough space for us. I plan to build hinged side bunk for my daughter over the feet of the boys next summer, and that should last at least three summers. At that point, I’m planning to build a flip up full-length bunk (similar to Scamp bunk) over the table. If there are any families out there that are on the fence, check one out in person….. our experience has been positive with the 21C. [/FONT]
