Fiberglass cracking at frame

fiberglass cracking repair update

Just an update about our fiberglass cracking issue. ETI wants to ship our trailer to Retro Renos in FL, who they just started a partnership with, to fix the fiberglass. The problem is it's been weeks of them trying to find a shipper; apparently one has been found but we haven't heard from them yet to schedule a pick up. So we wait some more. Unfortunately at this speed, we may be back to tent camping this summer.
ETI also are supposed to ship Retro new propane hoses to replace ours that were installed with a 90 degree bend and are now cracked.
We hope this is the right way to go for getting our issues fixed. Will update when we have a final solution.

I sure hope they do take care of everything. We met you guys at Keystone Lake in Oklahoma and you shared your frustrations with us at that time. You should get a new trailer for all the issues you have had. Maybe they will do it as a goodwill gesture.

Thanks we sure hope it gets fixed completely! You must have met other frustrated 17 owners though as we've never been to Oklahoma. :)

We had some fiberglass cracking in our roof and the trailer was just under a year old, so under warranty. Escape told us to find a place near us that fixes fiberglass. We did, gave Escape the bill and they prompty sent us a check to cover payment. Overall great customer service.

I'm working with ETI for cracks I found after a month or so, 2' long on my new E19, when I went up to put a dab(about 1/16" high) of caulk at the bath vent. I had found it leaked. Climbed to see what looked like some type of weep hole set just too low for our 2 1/2" an hour rains here, & a not dead level trailer. That did fixed it. The cracks radiate from what looks like the front bolt hole for the frig. vent. Like it was jammed in.

Those frame/trailer cracks are more than cracks, they are holes! Seems you are lucky to have the trailer still attached! I'd say some reinforcement has to be done up inside. Wonder if the fiberglass pieces need to cure longer, build up heavier there?

I had cracked hoses from day one. Said they'd ship new ones. But I figured I'd get the same ones/stock. So any I get from them is just going to do the same. I ordered some stainless steel ones from amazon. Someone from here I think bought longer ones & had a photo of putting on with no sharp bends.

FYI - The SS braided lines still have rubber hoses inside..........you just can't see them? More protection from the elements, but........?

Thank you for the follow up. It sounds like ETI will look after you like Kosta promised.
