First time owner!!

Just wanted to say Hi and say that my family just put a deposit down on our very first Escape Travel trailer (19 ft). My options were pretty limited because of the towing capibilty of our Toyota FJ Cruiser and myself being 6'3". I was looking are other fiberglass trailers from the states and Canada but decited on an Ecapse because mostly its a Canadian company and we read wonderfull reviews of Escape trailers. I'm sure that we made the right decision.

Talk to cpaharley he had a 19 and towed it with his FJ though it is now behind my Tacoma :} All I can suggest is start collecting or building a list of things you want for it now :} The end of season sales should be coming on soon.

Welcome to our little world, I too have an FJ and it tows the 19 without any issues, I do recommend the Andersen Hitch even with the front box, my tongue was about 350#. There are also several other Escape members with FJ Cruisers.

Welcome to the Escape forum. I also tow with an FJ and it is a good solid tow platform for the 19'. I use the factory supplied WDH and have no regrets with the performance.

Welcome! There is lots of good advice and information here, handed out in a very helpful and friendly manner.

Reading through the thread "IF you could design my new trailer and..." which is presently showing on the recent discussions section (top right of page), gave me lots to ponder. Except the part about hauling moose in the trailer...
