Howdy all,
I'm in the final preparation stages of my first long trip out west in the brand new Escape 19 F1, from Fort Worth, TX to AZ, with a departure date of January 27.
As the temps in N. Texas are forecast to be high twenties/low thirties overnight the first couple of days of the trip, I'm planning empty holding tanks until I reach Phoenix metro area. (warmer temps)
Here's my question: I'll only be stopping a rest/truck stops for sleep sessions and not cooking or other "camping activities." So, can I safely add 4 to 5 gallons to the black tank for bathroom necessities or am I better off keeping all tanks dry until I hit warmer conditions?
I'm leaning towards not temping fate and just leaving the tanks empty.
Also, any other tips for this first-timer are welcome.
TIA!
