Is anyone else having problems with things loading slowly or not loading? Sometimes I just get the loading sign for ages and then have to kill the thread. Other times it is just slow.

I am using my Android phone and pages are loading instantly.

Given that you are having problems that other members are not having, I would suggest you perform a scan of your computer for malware. If the computer has been infected (some smart phones too), it can drastically affect your computers speed. You may not have picked up a virus, but I would want to rule that out as a cause.

I got hung up trying to upload a couple photos earlier this evening from my PC laptop (stuck on 81% completed). I finally "X"ed out of the forum, logged back in, and it went fine the second time and has done fine since.

Probably not a virus problem then. How many users on line at the time? Could have been more than normal activity on the forum, slowing down the server????

Strange that it works so fast for me. Back on my PC again now, and everything is lickety split.

I have had troubles in the past with the browser slowing things down, because I usually have about 50 windows open all the time. Sometimes closing a few down and just reloading the browser clear up any slowness.

That sometimes helps. It's intermittent- sometimes no problems, sometimes it just won't load. I had no problem uploading a picture, or loading threads that are picture heavy, but just now hit quick reply and nothing happened.

Yes! So slow, I have been spending an inordinate amount of time wondering re the significance of manilla vs. blue vs. orange envelope icons on search view....( I get the open and closed bit.)
Even for my rural internet connection, going from any one page to another has been pitifully slow.

To be clear, there have been times when things have slowed down for me, and with the site not even loading a couple times, but they always are short lived.

Sometimes the forum response is very slow; occasionally pages load incompletely. For example, today the background graphic loaded... and nothing more. Today, as is often the case, closing the tab and retrying worked - no logout, no change to other browser windows, no restarting of any programs and certainly no "delete your cookies, log out of Windows, restart the browser, and try again"

I haven't found the last couple of days to be any different from the usually experience.

Well said!
My experience has been the same. An occasional hiccup, which closing and reopening corrects. If a post fails to upload, I "copy" and "paste" before closing and after reopening.

The site goes down quite a bit for me and ultimately you get the Cloudfare message. Sometimes it just gets slow right before it goes out with the Cloudfare message. I'd say it is most likely connected to the hosting platform.
