well, the list of all members runs about 3500 pages of around 20 or 30 per page, not very useful. Its available via Members -> Registered Members.
Not really any different than before, other than I don't see an alphabet listing. You can still search for a member easy enough.

Hmm, seems the only folks reporting that are Site Team members.

Do you have a non-Site Team member login (yeah, different email, different name) so you can see what we mere mortals see on the site?

Avatars are square You'll need to edit your base image to look nice in that format. If you need a hand, load up the image in a post and I can take a crack at making adjustments.
Thanks, Janet. I will look at doing that. I might be able to edit it from the original image.

Escape needs to build a square trailer. :)

For the life of me I can't figure out where to find this. On the main page I see where it shows how many members there are but no link. I also can open the list of members online. Where did you access the members list?

Maybe I have poor eyesight, I am seeing an eye surgeon tomorrow.

Why did my username get changed from "hugh" to "hugh-ESC"? The latter is certainly not a name I would have chosen for this discussion forum.

My username also had a -ESC appended during the transition. The new forum software does not allow duplicate usernames, so apparently my username was previously used by someone else and I got the -ESC appended to make my username unique. The admins did some magic to change my username back. See the discussion on the first page of this thread.

You probably won’t be able to change your username back to the original (without the -ESC) unless you get admin help. This is also your opportunity to change to something else.

Tonight, while typing responses in a thread, I experienced several times (quite a few actually) when the cursor would disappear and I could not type until I took the mouse and clicked in the appropriate place on the screen. I have realized it is related to the advertisement in the side bar changing. When it flicks from one ad to another or the electronic casino ad changes images, is when the cursor disappears.

I am using a Dell desktop with Windows 12, and Google Chrome for a browser.

Any ideas? Has anyone else experienced this?

If anyone wants to shorten Amazon links, and eliminate all of the search criteria, possibly some personal info, etc. just find the /ref fairly early in the link and put the cursor on the slash or between the slash and the letter r. Then just push and hold the delete key until everything after that is gone. You can leave the slash or backspace it back out, just don't disturb anything before it. Then hit the enter key, the page will reload with the shorter link in the address bar, which you can then highlight and copy, to paste in your post.

XenForo software then takes the link and gives it the name you see below, from the the URL. My experience on Turbo Diesel Register forum is that it only happens with amazon links, it does not seem to affect other links that way.
Amazon.com

If you absolutely want the shortened link to appear, Paste it and then edit out the HTTPS://www. that is at the beginning of the link.

amazon.com/CURT-58141-7-Way-Blade-Connector/dp/B001GN6PQ8

This particular version of XenForo works differently than what is used in RV Forum.

Its a little tricky till you get the hang of it, as your first click on the address bar causes it to move, and you have to reposition the cursor before you start deleting.

Something else you can do is to type something like "Curt 7 Way connector" and then realize you want to make that a link. Just highlight what you typed, then click the link symbol, and then drop the actual link in the URL bar of the drop down box, and hit the INSERT button.

If anyone wants to shorten Amazon links .....
Or just use the Insert Link button to place short text in lieu of any URL you want to link in a post ....

insert short text link.png

This URL
https ://www.amazon.com/CURT-58141-7-Way-Blade-Connector/dp/B001GN6PQ8/?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_w=ltb91&content-id=amzn1.sym.2ada0ca8-c08f-4dd3-bf6e-06e1e651bb29%3Aamzn1.symc.ebdd2303-2907-45b9-b343-3896226c508a&pf_rd_p=2ada0ca8-c08f-4dd3-bf6e-06e1e651bb29&pf_rd_r=JTASFXTNV5TSQGM1TDJ6&pd_rd_wg=RQKQs&pd_rd_r=63a33d19-c541-4518-a6ed-960b83ee07a0&ref_=pd_hp_d_atf_ci_mcx_mr_ca_hp_atf_d

becomes this post link
Curt Connector

Super easy, no manual editing! ;)
