Full Size Mattress in a 21C

If anyone has swapped in a Full Size (54"x 75") for the standard 21C mattress, does it look small and do you have a picture? If it's too small, I'm thinking of adding a 5" landing at the top so that the bottom fits the edge. I realize that I will need to trim off the one corner still.

Hi...We have a 21C on order. We have decided not to get the mattress that comes with the trailer. We are instead ordering a mattress from Wilderness RV mattress. They can custom make a mattress that will fit the dimensions for the 21C. Escape sent me the diagram of the exact measurements. It was easy for me to use the online tool to make a custom order.

Thanks but the mattress we like only comes in full so I was wondering if Amy has used a full and found a way to make it look okay. Will probably just go with the supplied one and use a topper.

We have a local mattress company who will make any size/shape mattress you want with any combination of foams you like. Bay Bed and Mattress

I'm sure there's similar companies most anywheres.

Check the actual width of your 21C platform. While my 2017 21 measures 54" wall to wall, the stock mattress is only 52" wide. That leaves a bit of breathing room on the outside wall to allow air circulation. You might find an actual 54" wide full size mattress a bit tight with sheets, a blanket & quilt tucked in.

We use a Full XL mattress pad and fitted sheet, they fit perfectly (except for said rounded corner, and sliced off corner, we tuck those in), and a queen sized comforter in a duvet cover instead of top sheets, this makes it much easier to get in and out of bed

I agree, mattress makers are probably quite common. We have at least one here in our city as well.
