Generator Storage

Anyone have a way to store a small honda generator. Does the Stromburg rv generator rack that sits over the propane tanks work on an Escape 19?????

I’ve seen that, but it looks like the front storage box would be difficult to access with that mounted. I’ve also looked at bumper mount generator housings, but have never gotten around to the spare tire under tongue mod. I’ve also not modded my battery location, which makes the spare tire move more difficult. For now,when I carry the genny, it goes in the truck bed.

I still get the shakes when I smell that distinct odor of rancid gas from my days of owning and operating a motorcycle and small engine repair shop. It’s the main reason I have an arsenal of Ryobi 40v yard tools instead of gas powered equipment.

Pro tip: Stabil works, but only extends gas shelf life for about 3-6 months, not the 12-24 months they claim. There are marine grade stabilizers out there that claim even longer effectiveness but I have no experience with those. If you don’t plan on using your generator for a while, drain the gas and run the carb dry.
