I suggest reading the answers, and asking for clarification of them, rather than criticizing other members for their performance in responding to your requests. Since this is apparently "criticize your fellow forum members day", I'll also suggest not using "insure" when you mean "ensure".... might I suggest reading the post prior to answering to insure what is being answered is indeed what is being asked.
I just wanted an answer to the thread I started. Isn't that how forums work?
This is along the same lines as Donna's excellent response in this thread.No; you may be thinking of a help desk service.
A forum is a conversation: you say something, other people say something which is likely related but not dictated by you. It goes back and forth, and may or may not go where you want.

What if the answer is incorrect?
Perhaps members are trying to understand the question when they respond.
Or, perhaps they are just sharing comraderie.
Should a question only have one response, that being the correct answer?
Who determines that?
