Girard power awning will not deploy

I’ve had our new 21C for about 3 weeks now and have been going through everything to make sure it works. Every evening I retract the awning and I deploy it in the morning. Well this morning it will not deploy. When I physically look at the awning I see that towards the back the awning is about 1/4” out, where as the front side is flush. I’m guessing this is the issue. It’s pulled back in cockeyed. The issue is how to fix it? There are three screws on each end holding the cap on. Two I can get to the third is basically impossible to get to with normal tools. Has anyone had this issue and if so how did you resolve it?

I did some more checking and made sure the awning isn’t actually bound up. But, when I push the ‘out’ button it just beeps twice and does nothing.

Have you tried opening it manually using the manual crank ports? I think there is one on each end.

It could just be a little bound up.

Yes. I removed the caps on both ends and removed the two flat ends. This includes removing the two screws to the motor. With those removed I was able to pull the awning out to see if it was in a bind. It was not in a bind. It pulled out smoothly. With it pulled out about 7” I put the ends back on and tested the out button again. Still beeps twice and does nothing. I then depressed the in button and it retracted normally.

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I’m having a little problem with mine too.
