Picked up our 21C today. How exciting . We had a burger at Bobs There was some confusion about the hitch height but the local NAPA let us borrow some tools

Congrats! Bob’s Burgers & Brew, an Escape owner’s rite of passage. Cheers, and happy camping!

Hopefully in less than 3 Months we will be enjoying a Bob's Burger when we pick up our 21C "Side Effect".

Congratulations!

Boondocking right now with poor signal, so I can't attach a picture. But last week I sent ETI a picture of my receiver on our F150 with a measuring tape next to it. This was for them to determine if we needed a 6-hole or the 8/9 hole hitch for our E2 Fastway hitch. ETI said the standard 6-hole will work just fine, so no need to pay for an upgrade to the other.

In the picture I sent to ETI the 2" receiver opening starts at 17.25" and ends very close to 19". Unfortunately I don't know at what point the 8/9 hole version becomes necessary.

I apologize if the above is a bit off-topic. My primary response should be - CONGRATULATIONS! We hope you enjoy your new 21, and have many years of fun and safe travel!

I've never used a WDH with my fullsized truck towing an E21. I used one for awhile towing a Casita with a TRD OffRoad Tacoma that had really soft suspension, but then I added airbags to the Tacoma, and never messed with the WDH again.

My truck does recommend a WDH for trailers over 6500 lbs.

All good . The bottom 2 holes worked out great. Our solar isn’t working as it should, we are very disappointed about that. The panels are not charging our batteries, but I can tell you the compressor fridge is awesome.

what brand/model is the solar controller? is it reading the PV voltage when sunlight is on the panels ? I know that with my Victron SmartSolar, I had to setup a bunch of stuff on it (using my phone over bluetooth) before it was configured optimally.

When we picked up our 21 last August the solar charging was confusingly erratic. When I tore things apart this spring to correct some of the more obvious shortcomings of the factory wiring, I realized that one of the terminals on the 30 amp auto-reset circuit breaker had been stripped, leaving the connection loose. I can't say for sure that that was my problem, as I made a lot of other changes. I am, however, still using that breaker, in a new location, with an extra nut tightened over the original one, and things have been behaving as expected ever since. A long way of saying wiggle all the wires; could be as simple as a loose connection. Good luck with your new trailer!

I have the Victron energy module. After paying $4,000 for the solar option I expecte

After paying $4000 for the solar kit I expected it to work not to bring the trailer home and trouble shoot it

Congratulations on the new trailer! Bobs burgers is great. And Edaleen dairy has some awesome cow t-shirts for cheap…. Right across/down the street.

Is that a SmartSolar MPPT ? Do you have Victron Connect on a phone or tablet, and can you connect to the SmartSolar? In the day, what PV do you see?
