Greetings from Paul and Barb Robinson in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

We are in the process of ordering an E19 F1 with anticipated pickup in August. Really looking forward to this and making her ours as well as spending time on the BC coast as part of the pick up trip.

We are upsizing from our well equipped Vistabule teardrop camper / Subaru Outback 3.6 R which will be for sale soon. This was a great combination but with us retiring and planning on taking much longer duration trips (months instead of weeks) we wanted something a little bigger for when the weather becomes miserable.

Cheers

Welcome to the forum.

I'm glad to see that you plan on spending a little time in BC as part of your pickup. There's a lot to do and see. I don't know how familiar you are with BC but feel free to ask questions about where to go and what to see if you're not.

Thanks Ron - We are originally from the BC coast (lived in Powell River, Parksville, Nanaimo, Victoria and Quadra Island) so are familiar with at least some of it however having lived in Winnipeg for 32 years some places have changed considerably - there are so many more people than "back in the day".

Welcome Winnipeggers.
Back in 1967 we landed in Wpg from Stockholm.Myself, with young wife and three children.Friendly people, hot summer and cold winter.Transferred to Fort Frances, one horse town, but nice surrondings and a good place to raise kids.
But the west coast looked pretty good so came out to BC in the fall of -68.Its been quite a ride.no regrets, still alive and kicking. Take care and stay safe.
Allan.

Hello from another E19 owner in Winnipeg MB. This will be our 2nd year with our 2021 used (local Kijiji purchase).

If we keep this up, we can start our own Escape group! There are at least 3-4 Escape owners active on the forum now.

We tow ours with a 2019 Tundra. With the dual axle, powerful truck and WDH, I can hardly feel it back there. The slightly narrow width compared to our old stick build, makes viewing out the mirrors better too.

Awesome - we will be towing with a new Tacoma which won't be as easy as the Tundra but we think will do fine - camping in our teardrop is quite minimalist when it comes to gear and we don't plan to change that much with the bigger trailer so extra weight I hope won't be an issue.

Great photo Paul and Barb, is that Grasslands NP? We were there last year. Welcome to the Escape world. I know you'll be too late to take in the MB Fiberglass and Vintage trailer rally at St. Malo this year (mid August) but look into coming next year. Ours is usually the only Escape there.

Hi - Yes it is- East Block - we have camped both park blocks over the last several years and enjoy the tranquility - there have been a couple of occaisions when we were the only camper there. Strangely enough this is where we have seen the most Escapes and the proud owners of a 17, 19 and 21 were kind enough to give us a tour. Thanks for the reminder on the MB rally - I was there with our Vistabule teardrop in 2020 but it was during covid so not so much of a rally but was an enjoyable place to camp and see some of the older and some very customized rigs that were there.
