Hey folks!

We recently joined the escape community when we bought our first 17B this last week!

We have 2 young kids 1yr and 3yrs old and we want to make some modifications to the Gaucho bunk to make a safer sleeping place for both of them.

I saw this post which looked like a great example: https://www.escapeforum.org/forums/...ations-d-cor-and-storage-solutions-13022.html

i was wondering if there were other examples people had for doing something similar. In particular we were wanting to look into some removable netting for the bottom bunk for our 1 year old to make it more like a crib.

If anyone has had the experience of making similar modifications, any advice?

Thanks in advance!

what we did is we bought only 2 things:
36" roll - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LYO2GNU
velcro straps - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G4IVN4S
And strapped the roll to the edge of the upper bunk so our 5 y.o. wouldn't fall. He never needed a ladder. We bought a trailer when he was already 5, however.

Our sleeping arrangement is: my wife sleeps with our young daughter on the main bed, and I sleep on the lower bunk (6'1" can't fit the upper bunk well) and my son on the upper bunk.
That way, both my wife and I have much more space compared to sleeping together on the main bed.

We also still have this for our kids, so they could wash and brush teeth

Thanks for the info and links. I think the roller ball will probably be "phase 2" for us when the boys are a tad older. The stool is a great idea. we have one like that home and i never even thought to put it in the trailer, great idea! :D
