Hard boiling eggs in your trailer

Water

So what's the best kind of water to boil eggs? I've used plain tap water but it seems like it makes my eggs taste too much like hard boiled eggs.

Ann was wondering what might happen if we tried to hard boil the chocolate eggs the Easter Bunny leaves behind.

Hard water for hard-boiled, soft water for soft-boiled eggs ( or you can add Calgon ).
Hi: gbaglo... I never have enough time to "Hard boil" eggs when camping. I bring some from home... just don't put them back in the egg carton with the others!!! Alf

I bought some Kroger hard boiled eggs on this trip & was not impressed with the taste. Since I carry a Coleman combined stove & grill, I prefer to make my own outside the trailer. Since I travel solo, I do appreciate the stores that still sell fresh eggs by the 1/2 dozen.
I will be bringing my Coleman stove on Trip #1 and plan on doing most cooking outside...exception granted for early coffee. I'm allowed to do that...solo traveller as well.

I never realized hard boiled eggs could be so tough. Inside, place in boiling water, turn on range hood to vent vapours. Outside, place in boiling water, vent to the sky. Cool quickly when done to how you prefer them.

Eggs

Somebody see if an egg can be hardboiled in the microwave and report back.

Greg

Pure Rocky Mountain Spring water. (Early Spring through Fall is OK).

Remember to add 1 minute for each 1000' in elevation of the water origination.

Hi Donna
Just stopped at the grocery store. Everything is kosher in the hot dog display

Eggs must have changed a lot since I was a kid as they now apparently require an advanced degree for hard boiling properly....
