Heating Pads

Had someone ask me the other day where the switch would be for heating pads. As I don't have such can someone clue me in?

In the 19' Escape it was under the bed by the water heater, it is a silver switch, identical to the battery cut off switch, so look for a matching switch. In other models, unknown.

In our 21, it is down under the u-shaped dinette seat above the water pump. It is a big switch that looks like the one that shuts off all power from the batteries. That one is on the other side. Loren

In my 21 Escape the water pump was under the bed, next to the water heater, are you sure tht is the pad switch versus the battery disconnect? That location was where my battery disconnect was.

On my 5.0TA the heating pad switch is under the drivers side dinette seat above the water heater.

Jim, this surprises me. Our pump is down where I said, and we had a minor leak the first day in which a coupling had to be snugged down. The switch is above that and was plainly pointed out during our orientation. I guess they keep changing things all of the time. So the correct answer to the original question is that it could be anywhere. Loren

Just took delivery of our new 21' was about to ask this same question. ONce I looked under the U dinette seat, drivers side, I saw this same switch above the water pump.

The battery disconnect is in this same location, however it is on the outside where your foot might hit it. But hey there are only so many spots you can place monitors, switches and outlets on these trailers.

Congrats on the new 21, enjoy.
The battery disconnect location issue was one of the first issues I noted as well. The location isn't a problem, but the type of switch used is. It shouldn't be a toggle switch that an errant foot under a dinette table can hit and easily switch off. I'm going to swap it out for a keyed type battery disconnect switch will prevent that issue.

Great idea, Greg! I too worry about my 90lb lab plopping down on the floor and hitting switches.
