Hello, everyone!

My name is Brandon, and I live in a small town just outside of Ajax, Ontario. It’s one of those places where everyone knows your name, the local coffee shop owner remembers your order, and the best way to spend an evening is by the lake, watching the sun set over the water. I love the quiet charm of my town, but I’ve always had a restless spirit when it comes to travel.

For years, I’ve been drawn to the idea of exploring Canada (and beyond) on wheels. Road trips, scenic backroads, and waking up to new views every day—there’s just something about that lifestyle that calls to me. I’ve done my fair share of tent camping, but lately, I’ve been dreaming about upgrading to a small travel trailer. Something compact, comfortable, and perfect for off-the-beaten-path adventures.

Right now, I’m on the lookout for a lightweight trailer—maybe an Escape 19 or something similar—that fits the bill. Ideally, something in great condition from the last few years. If I don’t find a used one soon, I might just go for a brand-new one. My current tow vehicle is holding up, but I’ve got my eyes set on a more capable truck in the near future.

Welcome to the forum, Brandon.
You are on the right track looking for an Escape. They are an excellent choice for a small trailer.
There is lots to read and learn here on the forum.

Hi Brandon, & welcome.

You'll find many happy Escape owners here on the forum.

If you are at all inclined to get to know other owners of fiberglass trailers, the Niagara Wine Escape Rally is near you every September. It's a low-key affair with few organized activities, but lots of fellowship. Details for 2025 will be posted soon here on the forum.

Don't be shy asking any & all questions here. Collectively, there's encyclopedic knowledge of everything Escape & folks who generously share all of it.

Best of luck!

Welcome aboard Brandon. We purchased a E19 last year in March and we are quite happy with the trailer. Escape has an Ambassador program where you can get a looksee at a trailer and a personal tour. Nice to see the living space and actually touch one before you shell out thousands of dollars. We visited a wonderful gentleman (and his wife) outside of London, part of the Ambassador program. It was great and they had lots of advice and tips for a newbie like myself. If you can't find one close by, I'm in Hanover and can show you ours once it comes out of winter hibernation.

Cheers,
Garry
