My wife and I placed a deposit for a 2018 Escape 19 that will be completed in January 2018. It will be our 40th anniversary present to each other. The observations, experiences and comments in the posts on this forum greatly helped us in our decision to purchase an Escape trailer. We are looking forward to the many adventures that await.

Congrats on both counts! Wifey and I kinda did the same, although no where near 40 years. She bought the trailer and I bought the new truck.

Wow, 40 years! We just celebrated number 21, so we are still rookies.

Congrats on your purchase, you will LOVE your Escape.

Northern Idaho in fact the whole state of Idaho was one of the best places we have ever visited / camped .
Congratulations on 40 years of marriage and on your trailer purchase.
No Escape in our lives but we will be celebrating our 47th anniversary at the end of August.

I still find it hard to believe we have been together for 40 years. She is something special to put up with a grump like me for so long. Met in high school and been together ever since - best friends and many adventures over the years. I love the name of RBRYAN4's trailer - Past Tents.

Steve Dunham - We really love our little part of Idaho. Only two stop lights in the entire county! Boundary County is "almost Canada" giving us easy access to BC, Yukon and other places up north.

Keith and a Lauren, a huge congrats!!! Both on 40th anniversary and the order of your new Escape!!!
Keeping each other happy is the trick. You both did well choosing Escape as gift. You both are going to love it!!!
Best wishes, and many more happy years together!!

Is it true that your county wasn't connected to the outside world via highway until after WWII? I thought I read that somewhere.

We are very remote for the lower 48 (The Yak River wilderness is one valley away) but I believe we had road connections by WWII. I'm not sure when the ferry at Bonners Ferry was replaced by a bridge or what year they discontinued river boat service between our area and BC. I think a lot changed after WWI.

Downtown Portland. It's awful here. I feel like I'm in a campground because of the smoke smell.

Unfortunately, our normally clear air is also filled with smoke from the fires in BC and Washington. It looks to be another bad fire season.

Welcome to the forum. We often pass thru your town if going to Spokane. We are smokey here east of you in Fortine. Cannot tell if smoke is from BC, Missoula, or eastern WA. Need rain but not lightning.

Just to keep it all clear ..... should anyone want to gift me a new 19, I want you to be assured that I would accept .....

Just sayin'

Tom

Welcome to Escapin' and the forum!

Would it have to be an A Model, or are you quite prepared to turn in your A-Listers card?

Edit: And, you'd have to consider the budget considerations of having to accumulate so much more gear to fit the storage space available in that 19(A).;D
