Hello I am new

Tammy and Reace can tell us the number of Escapes but 1000 is way off as it was 500 late last year.
Obviously, many if not most of the people on this forum are not owners if there are 1300 members. Yes, a few have been resold.

I am betting that there are about as many people registered with this forum who are interested in an Escape as who own one, maybe more. The 1300 has nothing to do with regular posters who are happy owners promoting the brand. That is what I am referring to.

I can see who is posting much of the time as I have been reading this forum for 2 1/2 or more years. I see many of the same people over time who number in the range of maybe 40 or 50. I am speaking mostly of the regular posters, not some who might have made a comment just a few times over years. I can practically name them! A lot of time spent on this forum. Okay, I'll stretch it to 25%.

" Escape pays trailer owners to show their trailers to perspective buyers and it generates a lot of business for them"

I'm not aware of any monetary exchange where Escape is paying owners to show their trailers, perhaps other's who have shown their units can provide further information. I believe we do it because we want to share our enjoyment and are proud of the product.

Escape does not pay current owners to show their trailer but if the person buys a new one Escape will pay $200 CDN upon delivery of the new unit. If you show just make sure Tammy knows the name of the person interested.

When we put our order in to Escape for our 19', I made sure to tell Tammy the name of the person who's Escape we viewed. She even entered his name on our build list, so I assume he will eventually hear from Escape about this. Have any of you current owner's ever received monetary acknowledgement from Escape for showing your trailer prior to making a sale?

dave

Yes. Twice.
But, you have to rely on the person you showed your trailer to to follow through and give you credit. Lots of times, on the road, I've shown the trailer with no exchange of names.

Yes, Escape has a referral program where they pay people who have shown their trailers, when someone then buys. Most of the small trailer manufacturers have such a program because they have no dealers, so they do business through referrals.

I know that Escape has paid as little as $50. You mention $200, Steve, so that must be the newest number. It would be good if they would spell out the referral program. I have seen the name put on the build sheet of the person who showed theirs to the new buyer so that a referral fee will be paid. I know of one party who saw two trailers but only one owner received the referral fee which was apparently because of the model.

I know we were warned that it would happen but I really am surpirsed how much we get asked about trailer. I was waiting outside my daughters dance studio one afternoon with the truck and trailer so we could head out and in the twenty minutes or so I showed it to two different people. It really is unbelievable how much it happens. We have only had ours since august and have shown it twice through the forum and several others just while out camping with it.

Yes, we have received one check for $190 something US ($200 CDN minus exchange). Was a pleasant surprise.

I know what you mean. This fall I gave a tour while waiting in line for the dump station!

We get $200, exactly what Tammy said it would be. It works great for them, and we get some spending money for showing our trailers, which we would likely have done regardless. :)

First Jim, have you always received $200 each time from years ago?

Oh, thank goodness I have an hour to make a correction:

Hi: cpaharley2008... If Tammy gives a prospect your name & phone# cause your the closest 19'er to them, and they view and purchase, there is a fee paid on delivery. Tammy can't track a purchase if some one says "We saw one at a rally but I can't remember who's it was".
I show because I want people to see what a great product is like. Been on the receiving end of a few fees too!!! Alf

Will see one on Saturday

Well I did talk to tammy and there is actually three 19 ft Escape around Montréal.
We will be going tomorrow to see one of them.
Ask Tammy how much it was to have it deliver and it is around 2000$ ouch,
but I guess it make sense since it across the country.
I knew that you living in Vancouver were lucky because it is such a nice city, but you are also lucky to be close to Escape factory.

Not just a dream anymore

I now just have bougth a 19ft Escape it is not new.... but it is new to me.
I want to said thank you all of you how take the time to post on this site.
It is very useful informations for all, I think that I have read almost everything.
Was wandering if there was such a thing as a rally in the East, would like to join yours in the west but it is a bit far.
Thank you again and looking forward to meet some of you on our camping trip.

Michele et Bernard, congratulations on your Escape! Please tell us about it and hopefully you can post a few photos. There are fiberglass egg rallies in every region (not only for Escapes.)

There are lots of rallies in the east, you could check at www.fiberglassrv.com to see what is posted there. They will be more generic moulded fiberglass meets, but they are still lots of fun. You will have to try to make it out some June for the Escape one, lots of fun there too, for sure. :)
