Just a quick and short intro.
We are not owners of an Escape TT yet, but hopefully within 3 years.
The plan is to get our TV next year, most likely the Toyota Tundra, 5.7L, Dbl Cab, 4x4, 6.5' bed. Then the Escape 5.0TA sometime in the next 2-3 years.
Our search for a sub-25' 5th wheel led us to this specific model and it's everything we were looking for, except maybe for bigger solar power setup. Hopefully, Escape will offer more panels and bigger battery bank options in a few years or maybe I can DIY it myself if absolutely necessary as a last resort!
As for the Tundra, it looks like it has enough safety margins in terms of max tow weight, max payload, etc., even though once again, hopefully Toyota will offer higher payload in their 2019 or 2020 models. I had a 2001 4runner that served me well for 14 years and almost 400K miles, so yeah, I'm a Toyota guy.
Anyway, looking forward to learning from the experience and expertise of the forum members as my wife and I prepare for our RV life in the 5.0TA in the near future.
