Oh dearDonna D you used a lot of them but not all of them.
I don't think so - they have model series names, then typically distinguish between individual models with a combination of size and floorplan.Most trailer manufacturers have models names rather than size. Naming based on size seems to be an all molded towable thing.
Good point.That was a good idea Donna. What caught my eye was, the font makes the 5TA looks like STA. What is a STA?
The underscore exists to indicate a space between letters, without actually having a space and breaking up the string of characters. It is useful in computing, and I agree that it seems unsuitable in a name.I do not like underscores as on the occasion that something is underlined the underscore disappears and becomes unrecognizable.
All of mine, for instance, but that's okay - no one else has commented on them in 58 subsequent posts so they must not be of interest anyway. Marketing is not my thing!Oh dearWhat did I miss?
I guess I'm just the most familiar with Scamp's website and Airstream.... For instance, the only difference in a 16' Scamp on their website is whether or not it has a wood interior: Showroom - Scamp Trailers and Airstream which only talk about models rather than size: Airstream, Inc :: Travel Trailers Anyone for a Land Yacht? ;DI don't think so - they have model series names, then typically distinguish between individual models with a combination of size and floorplan.
That makes a lot of sense. I note that Bigfoot model designations (including for the their truck campers and - when they made them - motorhomes) follow a systematic method, but most people in the FiberglassRV forum seem to misinterpret them or are not aware of them... even Bigfoot owners!A systematic approach would be nice so the model numbers would convey consistent information and could be used uniformly going forward:
Length-Identifier Version
Escape 17-TSA
Escape 19-TTA
Escape 20-5TA
T=Trailer
5= Fifth wheel
SA=Single Axle
TA=Tandem Axle
ETC= et cetera (LOL).
Good examples - Scamp only has one model line, too, so they use names for interior styles.I guess I'm just the most familiar with Scamp's website and Airstream.... Not to rain on everyone's parade, but why does it need a new name? Can't it just be called the same name? Once the current 5.0 goes out of production, it won't really matter.
