Hopefully a new 23’

Hello to you all and thanks for all the great threads and ideas. I have been mining information both here and on fiberglassrv.com for many years. I have also been converting a Chevy Express 2500 into a rv/tow vehicle for extended, possibly full time travel after I retire in a few years. There will be three of us(wife and son) and are tentative plan is to stay at campgrounds(both private and national/state parks) for weeks at a time and explore the surrounding areas. Looking forward to learning more and hopefully meeting some of you’ll out there. Adrian.

Thanks, I have seen a 19’ many years ago but we needed a dry bath or a large wet bath(if they even exist) for my son who is special needs. I definitely see the appeal of a smaller trailer but for us even to consider full timing the extra space is a must have. I almost bought a Parkliner but my wife saw an Airstream(23’) and fell in love, but two years and many issues later we sold it, though the layout worked for us. My only concern with the 23’ would be using the dinette/lounge as a bed on a nightly basis, but I guess we’ll see when the prototype is done...

One of the designs that I would like to change on the 23 is the dinette. From RVing, I know the dinette has value, but in the end, they are a crap bed and take up too much permanent room. I would prefer a portable dinette setup with a foldaway table...replace the fixed dinette with a Murphy bed or fold down bunks or something else. We ate outside in our class A way more than inside. During the rain, we would use the dinette, certainly.
