Well, in a totally uncharacteristic mood of 'Let's maintain the Escape' as opposed to just using it and cleaning the inside, I looked at the water heater thinking I would try to drain the water heater myself this year.
I found a very rusty looking plug at the bottom which I assume is the drain plug (it is 1 1/16"). And then, in reading the water heater doc that came with the trailer, I see that perhaps the anode should be replaced (hasn't been looked at in over 4 years).
So . . . . . where do I get replacement parts. I did look online a bit and one place seems to indicate that the anode and the plug are one piece - but the schematic for the water heater doesn't make that clear. I can find anodes for the SW6D but nothing called a drain plug.
This is the first of probably several questions on how to take care of my egg - I've already taken notes on the other posts for awning maintenance.
