Yes, I made the mistake of getting a white band on one of my Escapes, big mistake in trying to keep it clean.........

How did you remove the graphics?

Heat gun and plastic "putty knife" then a quick wipe with acetone to remove the sticky stuff. Took me a day to do as I also had to compound the fiberglass afterward due the ghosting left by the graphics once they were removed.
