Initial Trailer Outfitting

Hi:All... I always take my waterpump pliers... for hooking up the water hose. Seems I can't get my fingers in the compartment to hook to the trailer and can't get the hose tight enough to prevent leaks at the faucet. OOOps and don't forget the pressure regulator!!! Alf

I realize this thread has been closed for awhile but instead of reinventing the wheel, I wanted to add an item. With the 19' dual wheel set up there may be locations where the campsite is not level side to side. I found these 2 small ramps that will fit behind the rear and in between the front wheels on the 19'. You then slowly back up approximately 6-8" up the small incline. The list I attached above seems to be missing a page. I have revised it since then. It is pretty rough yet. You could just eliminate what is not applicable to your camping, and add in what is.

Most of you seasoned Escapees will already have a list, or else a real good memory. This is meant for those just looking to make up their own lis.

We do up food lists separately.

I have it in an Excel spreadsheet. When I print of the list, I immediately go through and cross out what I am positive what is already aboard, and confirm other thing I am not sure of, and finally add what we need.

Nice list I have several I pull off the computer - horse camping list, horse show list, camping at a horse show list, now I have camping with egg no horse just dog list!

Jim- really liked those orange level ramps from camping world. Also, from etrailer.com I much prefer the HD rubber chocks with handles as opposed to the plastic orange or green or red ones.

the camp list is a great idea. use until totally memorized. even then keep one handy. for those who fly you will taxi to the holding area before getting clearance to taxi to the button for permission to take off. well the delay at the holding area is the time the pilots do there final "check" which means we go over the list and make sure everything is in order as required. then the tower is radioed to request permission to proceed to the button for take off. the memory is used as a backup.

He probably ended up with a couple duplicates from my list.

Snake Toss is a game often played by RV'ers. It is sometimes called ladder golf, ladder toss, bolo toss, cowboy golf.

Here is a commercial set. This one called Blongo ball, never heard that. I just make my own with 3/4 PVC and fittings, and golf balls with 1/4 kernmantle rope holding them together. I have made a few sets of this game. This is our second favourite camping game next to all terrain bocce. (Not counting drinking as a game, of course )

Here is a picture I found that looks more like the ones I make.

It is a game said to be derived from cowboys, who when bored out herding cattle (or whatever), would kill a snake or two and throw them, trying to hang them on one of the three barbed wires on a fence.

Draft Checklist

Thank you the earlier lists I've used them liberally, I've organized the list to how my brain is wired, your comments would be appreciated. Our 17B is completed and waiting to be picked up in the spring, it's difficult waiting to hit the road. Thanks. David

I wonder how much all of this stuff weighs? I am trying to only take what I plan to use and not everything I might possibly use.

I had a master list, but it's broken down into several sub-groups. Since most of what I need is already in the trailer, I don't bother with it.
Mainly I print out my food list and clothing list. If I'm going canoeing or fishing I'll print that check list.
I got my original list from FGRV and knew I had to customize it when I noted that the third item from the top of the list was "Check List"
