Interior height 17B?

Does anyone know what the interior height is of the earlier models of the 17B? We are in the market for a 2007-2015 and I heard somewhere that the ceiling in the earlier models were slightly lower than the new ones. I've looked everywhere on the web and can't find the specs.

Depends.
Floor to knob that opens Maxxfan in the centre of the trailer is 72".
Floor to trolley ceiling is 68".
Floor to top of door opening is 62 3/4".
And then there are the cupboards...
I don't have air conditioner.

They used the same molds for all classic 17B trailers. That would be from about 2005 to 2016 when they changed to the newer style trailer. It's expensive to change molds. New molds are $150,000 plus.

Not sure why your asking. I am 6' 1/2" and the ceiling height was no concern. The concern is the trailer width. With the dinette down the bed is 6'4" across. A little tight for sleeping. Also consider the doorway, I hit my head many times going in and out. Lots of room at the AC and Maxfan.

We had a 2007 Escape 17B for 4 years, sold, Escape has a new 19' waiting for pickup.

Edit, the earlier 17B had a window style AC unit above the fridge. I preferred that as they were quieter and way way cheaper to replace if need be.

Thank you both for the measurements and for the spec sheet. We are in the market for a used 17B and haven't had an opportunity to see one yet. We just wanted to verify that the interior height would be adequate for ourselves and others. Sounds like there's plenty of height inside, and the length of the bed should work for us as well. Thanks again!

There's no dance floor, but you do have to dance in the aisle to pass one another ( assuming you have some place to go ). I usually just step into the space at the door.
My best advice is to not wear a ball cap when exiting the trailer. The brim will impart confidence, because it blocks the view of the top of the door opening, and you will bash your head.

Here is a ball/bump cap just for you...in case you forget to remove it. It has a hard shell inside with some padding.
