Is there?

You could say that

I'm making a trip to Costco at about 3:45 this afternoon, something I would ordinarily avoid like the plague on a weekend!
(It is borderline treasonous not to give a hoot about football in WA right now, but I could care less!)

I am guessing that there will be about fifty TV's at Costco with the game on, so if you do decide to give a hoot.

Think I'll do the same as last year - watch dvds in the living room and look around the corner at the replay when Norma cheers in the family room ;D....
hopefully she will have as much to cheer about this year

Yeah, and it's been quite the sports weekend.
Having to keep my sore foot elevated as much as possible the last while.... Means 2 hockey games before football this afternoon.

Doug is downstairs making marmalade and I am upstairs watching sports and on the IPad... Role reversal..

Good for Norma! All us gals, who watch football... especially when the Seahawks are in the SuperBowl should get together and camp and watch together! All the guys can go bowling

Sounds like we should have some sort of wager going here, you folks from the NW corner vs us from the NE corner, of course we're outnumbered.

Football

The real football was played in December and January. Ohio State 59. Wisconsin 0, Ohio State 42. Alabama 35 and Ohio State 42. Oregon 20. My two alumni kids and my son in law love them BUCKEYES.

Hey - you have an avid Patriots fan here in Saxtons River VT - Ian will be glued for the duration! So even if we are outnumbered by all those NWesterners, you have one in your corner over here. Go Pats!

Got a feeling you could count us on 1 hand, you know, those who prefer slightly deflated tires on out trailers.

Thank you for the levity Bob. This whole 'deflate gate' thing is a joke. Anyone who thinks the air pressure in the football had any influence on that game didn't watch that game. The Colts got systematically dismantled -- by a clearly superior team.

The numbering is bigger that the NW corner. All but one person I know west of the base of the Front Range of the Rockies is rooting for our west coast team.

P.S. the biggest lottery issue is "how many pounds of gum will Pete Carroll chew today?"

Is there a foot ball game on today?

I love watching football, but only the good stuff, the CFL. Not only is it less commercialized, it is in my opinion a way better game, with a lot more passing and excitement.

I quit watching the NFL 20 years ago. It never seemed to be about the sport, and more about all the hype and hoopla surrounding it. I am not a fan of stuff like People magazine, nor do I give a hoot about whether a player had sex the night before the game, wore his lucky underwear, or played best 3 days after the first quarter of the moon. :)

C'mon, it's a huge day in sports. They unveiled the 2015 F1 cars in Spain today ;D

And, yah, I heard there's this big razzle dazzle game of fossball today somewhere so it's a great time to take my missus out to a popular restaurant. Shouldn't be crowded at all. :)

Watching pro football is like watching brutal ballet.. and I love it! The action is not always where the ball is going. If you can tear your eyes away from that and watch the rest of what's going on, it's quite entertaining.

One of the best interviews about Deflategate that I watched was from one of the Colts players. He said the Pats would have won if Brady was passing beach balls or bricks. He said, the Colts were simply outplayed. Nice to hear a humble guy instead of a blowhard.
