We’ve been searching for the right trailer for about 6 months. We started looking at 5.0 TA, but then shifted our search for a 21C since we could pull it with our 4 Runner (until we head out west). I’m going to be fixing and upgrading a few things, but here is a pic with our 2014 21C! Looking forward to learning from everyone. We are in FL 🙂.

Welcome to the 21C Party! The 21C is an awesome trailer - well, all Escape trailers are awesome :) !

The 21C has been veddy veddy good to us. It’s the right size, especially the interior width and tows well. Don’t sell the Toyota Forerunner short. I know of one rally that was saved for some nice folks when their Ram Diesel gave it up and after limping home, they switched over to their “Lady in Waiting”, Forerunner, and made the party in good time. See you have the front window, we enjoy ours. “Ooo Ooo Ooo what a little moonlight can do”
Congrats, easy does it and make the 21 your own. Decorating possibilities are endless.

Welcome to the Escape Family, your new home for all unanswered questions and more.......

Glad you're here.

Cheers to ya......... and Happy Trails......... Jack

Thanks for such a nice welcome! I forgot to mention we had a 2010 Casita a few years back and loved it. When we decided to get back into camping and needed a little more rom we discovered Wscape, I’ve been obsessed ever since!

Nice Classic 21 with the rounded hull. You should change the trailer in your info at left.

Congrats on your Escape purchase! Perfect time of the year to get it. Enjoy the summer!

I’m hoping to join the party soon too!

Congrats! We’re also pulling a new-to-us 2014 21C with a Toyota 4Runner and also had a Casita for a while. I agree, the 4Runner works well without much grade, but we’ll be looking for something bigger when towing out west.

Also curious…what are your plans for fixing and upgrading?

The owner said there is a water leak at the city water connection, so that’s first on the list. We only have a 95 watt solar panel, so we need to add another one (200 watts) and maybe swap out the 95 watt for a 200 watt. There are a few other things tha need to be done with the solar setup since the previous owner put in a couple of lithium batteries but did not upgrade any of the controllers.
I’ve got a long list of maintenance items I’ll do prior to the first trip (repack bearings, adjust brakes, replace anode rod, sanitize water system, etc). The other thing I’d like to do is add some lighting inside and outside for a little flair.

The most time consuming task is to wash, clay bar, polish and either wax or ceramic coat the outside. That will have to wait till Florida winter!
