Hi. Just discovered these types of trailers the other day.....seems really interesting

I'm a recently singled Dad with 2 little kids so looking to spend as much time out in the sticks with them as possible

Looking forward to learning about these fiberglass trailers!!!

Welcome aboard Jon. The more you learn about molded fiberglass trailers the more you see the advantages in resale value, light weight, ease of towing, efficiency, and much more. The Escape forum will be a valuable resource.

If you're at all in the market, I encourage you to contact Escape Trailer Industries and ask them to refer you to an owner in your area. They'll be happy to show you their trailer and answer any questions.

Welcome Jon. Having owned a 21 foot Nash trailer that was destroyed after 12 years due to hidden leaks, I highly recommend a molded fibreglass trailer with no seams at the stress points where walls meet roof and floor. In fact the Escape has no seams, just cutouts for door and windows, etc. The quality of the Escape is so much better than our Nash. Appliances are better quality and even the brakes are better (smoother; need little adjusting between trips, if at all). Tows easy and best of all is the great support from ETI. Visit the factory and meet Tammy and Reese. It's worth the trip.

Yep, just got one this week for showing BlackJack last year to a couple. The check only comes after the referral party takes ownership of their trailer. I told Escape just to credit my referrals to my build sheet....

SO, seems there is a real culture about these Escapes that even if you have one, people are already thinking about building the next one?? What's with that? Is it just fun? or looking for the ultimate RV and you all enjoy just tweaking them?

I can't speak for others, but we expect this trailer to last us the rest of our travels. I will attempt minor tweaks, but nothing like the real men on this forum.

They hold their re-sale value or in some cases go up in value, depending on the dollar/loonie exchange rate. I have always managed to sell mine for at least what I paid. With a years wait, the term "time is money" comes to mind. You can charge a premium for today versus a lower price in the future.

It's a mixed bag. Some are perfectly happy with a stock trailer and have no plans to change. Some get a 'virus' we call 'two-foot-itis', meaning a craving to go up in size 2 feet at a time (i.e., 17 to 19 to 21, etc). Others just like tweaking or customizing what they have. Also, Escape is constantly improving their trailers from year to year. The 2017 model with flat sides, a power awning, a wider entry door, and thus a wider fridge that cools better, are just some examples of how they change. That also influences some current owners.

The cool part is, you can't go wrong. There's no right or wrong layout or size or options list - do what suits you. And, if your plans change in the future, Escape resale values are extraordinarily high, and you can sell it in a heartbeat.

Took us a long time and 6+ trailers to arrive at our 19 Escape.
Our previous trailer was a used Escape 17B which convinced us we wanted the 19 for our retirement in a few years. The Exchange rate took care of that happening earlier than we had planned.
No interest in changing beyond this trailer.

We bought an 8-month-old 19' and then, after using it for years, knew exactly what we wanted in a 21'.

We here are backers of the company because the trailers are well-made and the owners are known and well-liked. Their progression is also known, from one trailer.

It also has a lot to do with adding models that were not being made when people bought their first Escape.
