Just placed a deposit, here is an introduction.

As far as the propane quick connect and your preference for charcoal. Dave definitely prefers charcoal but we got the quick connect because we love cooking outdoors and you never know when you will encounter fire bans that often include charcoal grills. We also take our campfire in a can. This is if we know we are headed somewhere with bans in place.

I swear I'm going to have every option on this thing by the time they actually contact me to finalize it. :)

Haha thats what ended up happening to us, we got almost everything that was available at the time. We also are intending to keep ours a long time, so figured easier to get it now than regret it later.

Reconsider the shower

I really think you should reconsider the outdoor shower. We use it pretty much everyday. If you put it on the passenger side and buy a spout and dish basin it becomes an outdoor sink for dishes. You then have options of where to get rid of dish water as well, so you don't fill the grey tank too quickly. We often dump the dishwater in the black tank rather than grey.

I bought these, Sway Bracket Jackets, work great. And, I was told not to put grease on the bars anyway, you need the friction. These jackets quiet things down, and still keep the friction.

If I could find all the people with 2021 deposits, I could start bribing people to back out and then move up. :)

Liberal grease on the Equil-i-zer did shut it up. But then the greasy bars were not fun to have around. Plus the system uses bar friction for sway control, so the more you grease it the less sway control you get.

I have quite a while to think about that. My previous trailer had a dry weight of about 3750, so probably not too different from the Escape really. It probably would have been OK on just a ball, but I like things a bit more secure.

I'm also really re-thinking the insulation. It looks like it buries all mechanicals underneath the trailer so that any future repairs or projects will be quite difficult.
You obviously know the Equal-i-zer well. It is indeed a pain to connect and noisy unless well greased. Between the kid and the dog, there always seems to be grease from it all over everything. Even exercising caution and using disposable nitrile gloves, I end up with a splotch or two on me half the time.

That said, it tows well and I really like it on my 21C when finally hooked up on the road.

They make a model that maxes out at 600/6000 tongue/trailer weight that probably would have worked for me instead of the 1000/10000 that I am using.

Framed vs Frameless

A lot of comments here, so not sure if this was covered but:

The build sheet is a tad confusing, but other than the rear window, you can NOT mix framed and frameless. So, if you have framed windows, then your bath and kitchen windows also have to be framed, and vice versa.
I was wanting framed for the bedroom and dinette windows and frameless for bath and kitchen and was told wasn't an option. (Meanwhile, I suggested that they update their build sheet to indicate which options were only available with which).

Rear window is the only location in which you can select framed or frameless no matter what the rest of the camper is. If you want framed camper & frameless rear add $312. If you want frameless camper, but framed rear, subtract $155. (I think those are the numbers I remember).
