We just placed our deposit on our first ever travel trailer. We are totally new to this lifestyle but very excited to be joining. This community has been so helpful. From our ambassadors who opened up their trailers for us to tour, to the people here giving us advice. I am sure I will have many more questions, but very excited to have joined this community.

Congratulations! It's a very exciting time, second only to the excitement of meeting your new Escape. We just picked our 17B (F2) up in September. Daisy's getting winterized now but we can't wait to get out again in April!

Want to share your options choices? Or, your "basic" choices - I used to love poring over everyone's choice of flooring, counters and fabrics as well as their decal colours. I still do!

Congratulations penwia,

You've turned to a new chapter in your lives, and the excitement of owning a Escape Trailer only gets better and more exciting as time passes. Your new adventures have only just begone, may you and yours make many many treasured memories to last a life time. Your Escape Trailer will be with you all the way.

You won't regret owning an Escape as your glow of owing it only grows brighter as you travel down life's highways and the adventures ahead.

Cheers to ya.......... and Happy Trails............ Jack

Thank you. We are very excited and can't wait to start our adventures. It's going to be a long winter, lol. Can't wait for spring.

Very well equipped trailer, penwia! Congratulations and Welcome! Whether you have ETI install or decide to go aftermarket, rooftop solar will be your most valued option. One 160w panel satisfies all our off-grid electrical needs and allows us to camp whenever and wherever we want. (y)(y)

Thanks, I am not sure I am ready for boon docking yet, but I was glad it had the solar and lithium ready options.

I can totally picture your décor @penwia and I see a lovely, classic, warm space. Great choices! Also, well done on those Black Friday deals. Amazing. Very, very happy for you.

Thank you. Wife has already been busy buying stuff. Plates, towels, kitchen utensils, looking at bedding, trying to figure out color scheme and all. We got samples from ETI so we sort of have an idea of what it will look like. Going to call tomorrow to see if they can send us some pictures of our trailer. I have heard they do while they are building it, so hope they will for us as well.

Congratulations!
I LOVE my 17B! Hope you will yours too!!
I don't know how you envision using yours, and I do a fair amount of boon docking. If you are looking at not being plugged-in consistently, you might consider solar power and lithium battery options up front. This just offers flexibility, and ease of wandering.
Whatever you choose: best wishes for year of enjoyment!

Congrats on the 17B ! We love ours, just perfect for our needs.

We have the factory 200W solar and highly recommend it, great for boondocking, also for when it’s in storage, or we get in late to a campground and stay in the overflow. Or we overnight in a truck stop, the solar helps there too.

The first things we purchased were a Weber 1200 bbq, Blackstone 17” griddle, Clam shelter, these have all made the experience so much better.

Enjoy, welcome to the Club, good to have another 17B !

Bob

If you get some please post them in the "It's Friday-2017 and beyond" thread.

Others, especially those that do mods, love to see construction photos.

Thanks. I was wondering if escape has some kind of netting you could add to the awning. I know Casita has one.

I don’t believe Escape sells screen rooms anymore. A phone call to them could confirm this. Here is a previous discussion regarding Escape Screen Rooms:

Post in thread 'Screen Rooms?'
Screen Rooms?

I just got the pics. Where can I find that thread? I tried to search but can't seem to find it.
