I agree, Ron has the right idea, keep it simple. I like the Clam shelter for bug and weather protection. Screens to fit the front of the awning are great for sun and privacy.
I have used a very light camping tarp on the front of our awning in rain. I let it roll into the awning a turn or two, so no bolt rope needed.
We bought two fabric shower curtains with a leaf pattern to hang on the ends of the awning. This allows us to cook under the awning in rain. I use the same camping tarp over our hammock for sun and rain.
