Thanks. I was wondering if escape has some kind of netting you could add to the awning. I know Casita has one.

We use a pop-up shelter for sitting out when there's bugs but we do have a screen that attaches to the awning primarily for shade when the sun is low but also for privacy.

It just uses a bolt rope on the edge and slides into the recess on the awning.

I have a roll of similar sunshade/screen but haven't mounted it yet. It looks as if you thread a rope through the slot on the awning roller to hold the top.
How did you attach the screen to the rope, or whatever it is? It looks like a clean installation.

We also have an ETI-supplied screen room but it is mostly too much of a hassle to put up.

I agree, Ron has the right idea, keep it simple. I like the Clam shelter for bug and weather protection. Screens to fit the front of the awning are great for sun and privacy.

I have used a very light camping tarp on the front of our awning in rain. I let it roll into the awning a turn or two, so no bolt rope needed.

We bought two fabric shower curtains with a leaf pattern to hang on the ends of the awning. This allows us to cook under the awning in rain. I use the same camping tarp over our hammock for sun and rain.
