We have the same Kuat rack, but we added a JackIt Let's Go Aero rack that mounted on the A-frame up front in conjunction with the jack. It holds two 30 lb bikes easily, and they are a lot more stable riding between the trailer and TV than hanging out the back with the Kuat. We have been quite happy with the results.

My 1-Up is the same in that it will sit in the middle position and not fully verticle when not in use. Doesn't cause a problem for me
