Larger propane tanks

There are people in our area that gravity fill there 20# tanks off their home tanks

This suggests that the fixed home tanks have liquid service ports. I would have guessed that they are used in vapour service for the domestic loads and wouldn't have a liquid port equipped with a service valve, but apparently I would have guessed wrong. That's an interesting option for those with home tanks.
