Yesterday my wife, Donna and I put down a deposit for our 5.0. Before you who want one panic there is still one spot previous to ours available...after that it will be the new model.

Al, you'll love the currently built 5.0. It's a wonderful trailer and sings to my heart. IF there wasn't a change, I know my future trailer would have been that current build and I would have been happy as a clam to call it MINE.

Al, we just picked up our 2013 5.0 and we love it! We had a 2008 5.0 that now has a lovely new forever home in New Mexico. When we were ready for a new trailer, picked another 5.0 (that has a few bells and whistles that weren't available in 2008 ) and we've not been disappointed. We're not interested in the bigger is better concept and find that the current 5.0 is perfect for our needs.

You'll love it! :)

Thank You Christine and Donna D. It's our first trailer after twenty years of camping in our beloved Westfalia. As the song goes "Time changes everything" but we're looking forward to the change.

Congratulations on the new 5.0!!! We are thoroughly enjoying our (your) 2008 5.0! We agree with you...the 'classic' 5.0 is the perfect size for us and our little Frontier!
Happy travels!!

Thank you for your best wishes Alf, Fran and Dave. We all seem to have the same choice of tow vehicle except mine is a long bed like Alfs'. Do either of you have the sliding hitch?

Not us...we mounted our B&W Patriot hitch 9 inches behind the axle..that puts it about 29" behind the cab...we're careful about making tight turns. But that hitch will allow us to reposition the pivot point back another 4" if we decide we need it...can't do it on the fly though - you have to take the hitch head out and rebolt it into another position. So far we have not needed it.

I'm not Alf, Fran or Dave but I do have a sliding hitch on my Ranger pulling a 5.0. I have the hitch mounted 30" back from the cab in the forward position as per Reace's instructions. I can slide it back about 7" for 37" clearance and have yet to need to ..... but it is nice to know it can be done if need be.

Thanks Barry. I believe I saw your rig on Wednesday when we were in Chilliwack buying ours. I should have had a look in truck bed.

Yup, that was me, I work in Chilliwack sometimes. I imagine you must have been the one with the dark blue Frontier. I saw you guys checking the colour of your decals, against the colour of the truck, with Kim.

I was having the underneath spray foamed as we are heading for the Rockies next week until Oct 6th and I don't want to have worry about the tanks.

Hi: Not so Big Al... We have a slider hitch, but have never slid it!!! I should have used it once... but the ding in the cab of the truck isn't that BIG. Alf

Hi Alf; Normally, how much room is there between the trailer and the cab of the truck. We have a fairly narrow lane to bring it down and some abrupt 90 deg. corners.

Hi: Not so Big Al... I think we have about 31" which takes care of most all our turns. The slider allows another 8" of space...and I must try it some day and take some pic's when I do. Alf

Hi: Not so Big Al... Returning from Virginia my wife wanted to shop at Grove City Penn. I picked two spaces in a virtually empty double row about as far away from the stores as could be. When we were ready to tug off to Buffalo all the spaces surrounding our rig were full . That was an abrupt 90*... outa there.
The big thing to remember is swing wide at first because the trailer wheels will track a shorter inside arc than the truck. Power mirrors really help  specifically at gas pump islands.
This pic. shows the space between T&T. We had a nice level pull thru on this trip up north, and stayed hooked up for 3 days of R&R. Alf
