license plate light - plastic shroud

The plastic shroud on my license plate light got brittle and broke at the back end, where the screw would hold it in place. Does anyone know if this shroud is available as a separate piece? I don't want to replace the entire light and license bracket if I don't have to. I looked at some on Amazon and they are the whole thing, and I can't tell if the shroud separates from the rest of the parts on those or if their shroud will fit. TIA.

I found what appears to be the same item on amazon.ca with same description except the one Donna links shows holes at 3.55 in or 9 cm, the one on amazon.ca shows 3.27 in or 8.3 cm.

Thanks all, but my question is a bit more specific. I don't want to fiddle with the light itself, or the riveted base piece, if I can just replace the shroud that goes over the light and the clear lens underneath. On mine, those parts are what have separated. There is a screw on the very end that would hold the shroud in place, but my shroud cracked apart at the end so the screw won't hold it any longer. Therefore I am asking if the replacements you kind folks have purchased in the past had a shroud & lens that was separable from the remainder.

I'm currently camping in Goddard KS (very windy today!), and I'm keeping the shroud in place with a couple pieces of gaffer tape (great tip, Donna, the gaffer tape is super useful for all sort of things).

Then you want to get the license plate bracket that I bought. (See above) The light assembly unscrews and screws on just like the original. Yes, I know, I didn't want to buy a complete assembly but I didn't have to play with the rivets either.

Replacing the light assembly was the easiest project on my list. Select the correct drill bit, drill out rivets, put silicone in the holes, strip the wires and use solder connectors to join them and replace the rivets. Plus the new black fixture matches my other accessories and is a huge improvement from the faded, rusted one that was there previously.

You sure can't beat the price and simplicity to replace. With an LED light to boot.
Is the light shroud made of metal, too?

Definitely an improvement in looks to the original.

I'll admit it looks nice but like the OP I decided that I would rather deal with just a screwdriver and about 5 minutes of my time.

Yes the light was/is a complete plug and play. Unscrew it from the new and place on the old. The bracket is lying around somewhere. I did put in an LED bulb. I believe it may come with one now.
Super! Exactly the info I was seeking, thanks!

I obsessively worry that I'll mess it up and make the holes too big when I try to drill out the old rivets. One of my anxiety quirks, I guess. I'll do a band-aid on a band-aid first, even if it looks dorky. My philosophy tends to be, if it ain't broke too badly, don't fix it because I'm liable to make it worse...

Yes- the shroud is metal, I’ve bought a few other items from this company and they are really good quality. The OEM light looked really crummy after I polished and ceramic coated the trailer. Once you start improving things, all the old stuff looks… old :)

It’s really not that hard, just put the drill bit on the rivet and size it up. Slow and steady with a sharp bit and it’s easy. We used to have a Casita and replacing rivets was a right of passage!
